As for 2016? I'm sure we'll get an announcement next year but not a release (well console release, there's always some type pf new DBZ game coming out ie. handhelds, mobile, etc).

Yup he was on DB games fan page saying not to expect any Dbz game announcements this summer. I don't get Why BN would let him know any of their plans. I smell Bullshit.

I think we'll see an announcement in July. I feel like the next game may end up being a Super tie-in game instead of Xenoverse 2.

Plenty of last-generation games have received the "remaster" treatment (The Last of Us, Grand Theft Auto 5, DmC).

But here's the difference, those three games were made at the end of the generation, so it kinda made sense to remaster them, but other remasters of 7-10 year old games(DMC4:SE, GTA:SA) are just out of the blue.

Xenoverse was announced during E3 last year. I was there and got to see a presentation of the alpha build of the game. There'a a news post on Kanzenshuu from around a year ago with info I gave to the site from the presentation. It was mentioned that a game having a presentation pretty much the week it's teased isn't really all that common. So, I don't know if we'll get lucky this year.

The Japanese individual who showcased the alpha build isn't going to be at E3 this year according to the Connect @ E3 listing for Bandai Namco employees who are attending, but another Japanese man will be. It doesn't say what he's presenting, though. It could be anything.

If another game gets announced during E3, I'll get an appointment to see the presentation on the game (if there is one) and send the information to the site so you guys get detailed information as soon as possible.

I'm not ruling out the possibility of an announcement or something (don't rule out anything DB anymore), but the game wasn't announced at E3 though. Last June was when it made its debut as "Xenoverse", but the game was announced as the traditional "New Project" in the May 2014 issue of V-Jump. Arguably though, a sequel may not need that extra month of marketing. So who knows...

Unless they show off something at the Tokyo Game Show then I think it's safe to say that there won't be a DBZ game on the consoles next year. I think another 3DS game is likely though.

I'm not saying we will or won't have a game next year, but how are people ruling one out just based on not having an announcement in this one? It's like people don't think we could have an announcement in January and released in November or something...

Going how was BOZ and XV was released, it seems like they will release the games in January or February. I don't see them releasing the games in October or November again.

It wouldn't jive with the current release schedule standard, but it seems ridiculous to rule out a potential release for an entire year ~4 months before it even starts.

If nothing is announce at Tokyo Game Show then it's possible that we won't get anything for 2016. I still doubt Namco Bandai will want the next game to be out by October - November again to avoid the game being over shadow by other big titles. Xenoverse coming out in February was a good idea since January-February is normally a dead month for video games. Xenoverse had no major competition to deal with.
