I'd have to go with the original Super Saiyan. The blonde fits the characters, but i do prefer the blue more on Vegeta than Goku.
It's so so so disappointing we'll probably never see the blonde Super Saiyan again!

Super Saiyan all the way. I'm talking OG, on Namek, when it was fresh and new and before it became a bargain sale. He actually looks like a god.



Bluper Saiyan or SuperSaiyanGodSaiyanSuperGodSaiyaSaiyan gives me diabetes. It's a lazy, grading, and unnatural recolor.



On a related note, I miss when Toriyama could draw...

Hmm...maybe it's because it's the new hotness, but I might have to go with Blueper Saiyan. I always dig the Cyan/Teal spectrum of colors.

SSG. I really like the lean design. Kinda like the Piccolo JR. saga (the Saiyan saga as well)which was the best art style (for me).

The blue was the most random thing ever. I doubt any fan would have expected a transformation that gives blue hair. lol

It wasn't random. Blue is usually used to show tranquillity and this was what Toriyama wanted to portray. As soon as he mentioned that then the choice of colour made sense. It also makes sense with the flame motif, Yellow being the weakest (Super Saiyan) Red being in the middle (Super Saiyan God) and Blue being the strongest (Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan).

I don't think blue hair is any more or less random than transforming into an angry European.

I don't know which I prefer, honestly. I'm going to go with Super Saiyan Blue (SSGSS, whatever you prefer). I like the aura a lot and I like the particular shade of blue that they use. I still love the original Super Saiyan based on nostalgia, but if I'm being honest I just really like Super Saiyan Blue's design as a whole.

That was not his intention at all. The flame thing was something fans came up with to joke and say "when you realize Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan makes sense". He apparently even at Battle of Gods-times did not even want to considers blue hair.

'Scuse you!? I prefer the original because the golden color represents power and speed of light. The blueper saiyan I just don't like it. Too "Magic girly" for my taste. Maybe if the color was a bit darker and represents something, maybe I'd like it.

The obvious answer is.... Super Saiyan 4

But on a serious note, I like the golden one for the nostalgia but if I had a gun put on my head and had to pick one (with no option of going for 4) I'd probably take Blooper. I like the aura better with the fire motif and I generally like blue as a color way over gold.

Blueper to me seems to stand out better, probably from the colour contrasting Goku's gi a bit more. Where as the yellow and bleached yellow sometimes faded from my attention with Goku's Gi being bolder in colour. The bright Cyan seems to just stand out more. Though I disagree with the suggestion of a darker blue being more ideal. Brighter blue is how it stands out as a power up. However I feel yellow feels more natural and neutral to me. I can never take the blue seriously because the way the hair is spiked makes it almost imply that ice powers are involved. Especially with the original clumpy-haired SSJ design from Namek.

If not for it being connected to the god ki, alone I would have thought the blue was weird looking seeing as how unnatural it looks to me standing alone, the god ki is the only thing that justifies it to me.

Blueper Saiyan has some appeal to it, but I find that the particular tones we've seen it with don't really mesh well with the overall appearances of the characters.

Even in my mind, when I try to imagine different outfits for the user, it just never seems to go THAT well with anything together. Goku just BARELY makes it work with the design he has in the film, but Vegeta looks absolutely putrid with the whole cyan and dark grey combo. When you go across the web and see the various fan edits of other characters made to have SSGSS hair, none of them ever look quite right with it.

With the golden hair, it pretty much automatically gels with every color combination we've seen throughout the series more easily.

If it had a darker hue akin to the hair of DQVI's hero, maybe it could work a little bit better, but even then it doesn't seem to harmonize all that well with other colors when I try to imagine it...

I had a lot of initial skepticism about it along the lines of 'Really? We're going Blue now?', because, let's be honest, we've seen Blue and White-haired fan art for years and years. It just felt like a pretty base decision to open up new merchandising possibilities.

That said - it has grown on me deeply. I think it looks especially good on Vegeta, giving the strange, otherworldly visage of Godliness that I think was intended.

I don't dig the aura, but that's largely to do with the way it has been rendered in the animation. It's distinct from a regular Super Saiyan aura, sure, but it doesn't look particularly great.

So yeah, explanation aside, right now I'm in the Super Saiyan Blue camp.
