Are Trunks and Mai staying in the main timeline now? That was something I kinda wanted at first, I'm not sure so much now. If their entire world and universe was destroyed....they saved nobody anyway....what was the point in everything that happened? Trunks and Mai could have come to the future back in Episode 47 and that'd be the arc.

They accomplished nothing.
I don't think that it ruins the arc but man, i'm broken, this is too fucked up, it's dark, they killed the fucking kids and then the entire timeline, Mai should have nightmares from now, Trunks is a failure, everyone is dead.

Why, why did i have to be so invested, man Super just hurt me this time, ep 65 made me think: "buff i'm so glad that Maki didn't die, i hope that seh survives with her brother, Trunks could adopt them"
And now they died :|
I really miss ma boy, Black :(

No, although I disagree with some of the things it did, it's easily one of the franchise's best arcs and super's best.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

It's a weird ending, I still haven't seen it but it kinda makes the whole saga seem pointless.

Trunks could have gone to another timeline from the very beginning and hardly anything would have changed. The present timeline would have been unaffected because Zamasu wouldn't have become Black like how he didn't anyway. In the future timeline Zamasu would have successfully wiped out all the mortals like how he did anyway. Trunks would have ended up in an alternate timeline where everyone was alive and lived happily ever after like how he did anyway.

They didn't save the day. Everyone's dead. In fact now that the whole future multiverse was destroyed Trunks actually ended up destroying vastly more people and worlds by not simply going to an alternate timeline.

I don't see the point in anything that's happened here. Why couldn't Trunks have finished Zamasu off in the last episode and then the Dragon Balls have been used to bring everyone back to life? That would have been a perfectly satisfying happy ending that was earned. The ending we got....why?

That's why i don't consider this a happy ending, they killed everyone just to then try to make us feel "good" because Trunks is "happy" in other timeline. Well it's not, even if the humans, or Bulma are alive in that world it still doesn't change the fact that the good guys failed. Is this the first sad ending in db?

Not for me, I'm happy with the bitter sweet ending and the fact that in the end Zamasu had them beat and they had pull a "Frieza" to get ride of him.

The ending was at the very least awkward, but I don't think it ruined it. There was plenty of action and plot points to make it one of the more interesting arcs of the series, but a rushed ending doesn't undo all of that. Although I would have written a different, more gradual ending to the arc, it did not ruin it for me at the very least.
