I'm actually optimistic. It's not like Super has been horrible thus far. It's been OK.

As for concerns about the scope - many fights will deifnitely happen off panel or have just a few seconds devoted to them on screen. I'm curious myself how they'll approach it.

Over 80% of the fights will be off panel, does anybody seriously think we will see 120 characters?
Toyotarō: … I get the feeling I’ve just heard something amazing (laughs). Lord Beerus and Whis turn up in Dragon Ball Super, and have become an unsurpassable wall for Goku and the gang. What do the two of them mean to you?

Toriyama: Well… First off, right now I don’t have any plans for Goku and Vegeta to surpass Beerus and Whis.

It seems like it.

I think expecting any arc to pull that of is unrealistic, unless the entire show is about a tournament.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

We will probably see all 120 fighter standing with their own Gods but we probably wont see them all fight. If we get shown all 120 fighters then this fanbase is going to go complete crazy talking about them.

If this is the last arc of Super, then in the end everything could turned back by time. Interactions between gods and humans are forbidden. And everything fits into EoZ. I hoped for 20+ episodes for the U6 arc and thought the Future Trunks arc would last at least 30 episodes. But maybe we are lucky and we will in fact get 40+ episodes. One can dream. But I agree some universes are just there to show how strong the fighters of another universe are. F.e. they arrive on the tournament grounds and Goku talks to Vegeta "wow, there are all incredible strong. I never felt such strong power." Krillin says "I hope we are not going to face each other in the first round, we won't stand a chance." And the universe Krillin talked about is been total wrecked just to let another universe look much stronger. Should been totally possible that it happens to U6 right of the start. Wow, they actually beat Hit and the others. But shouldn't Boo have big potential if he would absorb some of the other fighters?
