The way Cell absorbs people is pretty disturbing.

Yeah, this has gotta be mine too. Just so excessively brutal and hard to watch.Bianju wrote:The entire Videl vs. Spopovich episode.
I'll add Krillin's first death. It was... pretty blatantly emotionally manipulative, but I still find it pretty gut-wrenching, from the extended goodbye, to Goku's intuition about something being wrong and finally rushing to help him, too late. I've got a soft spot for Krillin, though.

The endless loop of repeats and reruns on Toonami before new episodes. Especially since thanks to the Internet you knew what was ahead and wanted to see that stuff.

How do you figure?pretty blatantly emotionally manipulative
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

Oh, I don't mean it as a negative. But rewatching the anime recently, I just felt it was very drawn-out, the elongated "goodbye" scene making a very obvious, big deal of Krillin's departure, and the way the creeping dread played out over the dinner scene... It was effective, and I love it, but they telegraphed what was coming as hard as they could in that episode. That's all I mean.ABED wrote:How do you figure?pretty blatantly emotionally manipulative

The Future!Trunks timeline being erased form existence, all the lives that a small child erased, never coming back
Also Zamasu sucesseding in killing (almost) all ningens in Earth, the lifes that Future!Trunks worked hard to protect, gone in an instant

Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

O-Oh, yeah... I also forgot that another distressing moment in DragonBall is Buu using the Human Extinction Attack and destroying earth. That got me REAL good...
