Err I don't know which established characters you refer at but Goku was a total retard for like 80 eps and Vegeta had his good share of humiliation too lol

Like most things in Super, characterization is inconsistent. I just meant it's one of the things they mess up less often and when they do it right, it can really make an otherwise unappealing episode shine.

You can not be serious. So anyone who watches something and calls it out on things is actually lying just to get attention ? I'm gussing if someone judges it without watching they're also lying cause they haven't seen it to judge it correct ?

Now, if these same people turn around and buy the whole thing after watching it for free and hating on it then you'll have a point.

People don't hate and criticize Super because it's cool or because they have something to prove, it's simply not that good of a show.

characters are back to their bitchy way specially Vegeta when he clearly admitted that Gokū is better than him in Z. Gokū's Dumb nature is way too over-Exxagerated and its stupid because they are ruining his Development which happened from pilaf arc to Boo arc. .

I am so tired of people saying Vegeta is back to his bitchy ways in Super. It's absolutely 100% not true and if people can't see that then they miss very obvious things about Vegeta's characterization.

As for Goku I somewhat agree that him being stupid is over exaggerated in Super but it's mainly in gags I try not to take them too seriously.

It's simply not a good show is a matter of opinion.

And honestly yes even watching something you hate for free is a complete waste of time. Whether you buy the show or not has nothing to do with it. Time is money too after all.

The first post in this thread, and multiple posts thereafter, are prime examples of the type of contributions we are not looking for here on Kanzenshuu's forum: ranting and raving into the wind hoping for opinion-parroting.

Unfortunately it seems I have have to say this a billion times over, but Kanzenshuu as an entity has no horse in the race. Whether you personally like or dislike Super is no skin off our back and is of no real concern to us, other than having the job of moderating what is ostensibly supposed to be a group of mature fans having interesting conversations.

The following quoted-post is a perfectly fine way to describe negative opinions about the new show. While it does not go into extreme detail on every aspect, it outlines the poster's overall feelings in a concise, readable way that is not antagonistic or otherwise feeling like ranting for the sake of ranting. It's a post with a purpose. With ideals behind it. It's a starting point for an actual conversation.

Dragon Ball Super is a pretty poor show on the whole, which is disappointing, since its best moments are quite good and really capture what's so special about Dragon Ball in the first place.

I also think, conceptually, outside of the show's greatest drawback that it's positioned as a midquel, most of the story lines have very serviceable ideas as well, and come across quite well in Toyotaro's manga and might be something special under Toriyama's pen, either as Resurrection "F" sequels or in manga form.

But so much of that is buried under poor weekly execution--dull story boarding and obvious and inconsistent character-writing being the two biggest issues. It doesn't matter what the narrative points are, how arcs begin or end, etc., when it fails to function on that level. When Dragon Ball, a series that largely runs on its style and charm, can't consistently present either style or charm, what's it doing? (It's also largely, I think, about how sincerely it treats its world and characters, which has likewise been missing with Super's haphazard weekly scripting.)

So I largely find myself agreeing with people who say Super's not a very good series, but almost always for wholly different reasons than tend to come up in these threads. It's my least favorite of the four original anime series, but it didn't have to be.

If the post-"F" arcs were ever to get a revisit as movies or specials more in line with Toyotaro's brisk manga, or--perfect scenario--with more Toriyama scripts, I wouldn't object.

Please use this as an example in the future.
