Eh, I actually saw Kikuchi Kai before Kikuchi Z, but I still ended up preferring the latter. I don't mind the placement being different, it's mostly just a bummer that they didn't use more tracks, and that you've heard almost the entire music bank within the first 10 episodes.
That being said, that one track from Movie 7 that played when Trunks killed Frieza was barely used in Z, but got plenty of great moments here.
