play heroes and villains from throughout the Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT worlds
The return of Super Saiyan 4? Characters like King Piccolo mebbe? Its looking like it'll be one of those titles that throws a few surprises our way.

Awesome.
They said this about the first Shin Budokai, and sadly, we never saw any GT characters. This time I hope they include Kid Goku from GT.

Also note that this "new" storyline buisness could be false. I'm hoping It's true, however, IGN is not the most reliable Dragon Ball source.

Densetsu is seeing an ENGLISH release in the Spring. Giving you the heads up, just in case you missed it in IGN's report. :P I hope they don't change the cover art. That will be minus 1 sale if you do, Atari.

Ho. Lee. Shiznit.

I KNEW Dimps went to this forum to see what fans wanted!

Too bad he has two arms, though... :|

EDIT: I just thought... mabye he's just gonna be an alternate outfit for the normal adult Gohan, since his display pic is the same as Buu-era Gohan's... :?

Well, at least he's in there! :P

Most of you didn't notice the future Trunks with short hair, or the plump version of Majin Buu, huh? :P

It's official, I'm going to preorder this game this weekend. Glad I bought my PSP 2 years ago, it's a great time to be a PSP owner. Now that they put up closer screens, somehow this game looks a bit like Sparking and a bit like Budokai. Now I'm SURE the graphics are better than the first Shin Budokai, that is nice to know.

So far:

-Trunks in Armor(Short and Long hair)
-DBZ Movie Future Gohan
-Broli
-Vegeta
-Fat Boo(Not in the orignal Shin Budokai)
-New, Original Storyline
-Infrastructure
-Better Graphics
-More freedom in levels
-(Thanks to Tori-Bot)Alt Costumes!
Anything I miss?

Too bad he has two arms, though...
That would've been hard to program, which is why he's like that.

For instance there's no reason for him to fight any different from the "adult" Gohan, so in turn all those moves should carry over. Like note the Kamehameha, every character that uses it uses the same movement data, meaning they made the movement once then copied and pasted the coding to every character that uses it, rather then them having to go in and code individual diffrences for him, and if they're going to do that I'd rather them spend the time coding an entirely new character.

Plus we'd then have 4 Gohan's, one of which would basicly be a clone character, which we don't need anymore of.
They said this about the first Shin Budokai, and sadly, we never saw any GT characters.
I don't remember any official statements saying that about the first game.

Yeah there was fan speculation, but I don't think there was anything official.

You can just use the Edit button.
-New Camera is confirmed
If it is on an angle the whole time like that, then I really hope there's a "free movement" button, like there was in the Bushido Blade games.
* In-game transformations to more powerful forms;
Guess that's a pretty good indication SS4 is in.

That's actually... awesome. Probably the best American DBZ game cover.

I think I might actually prefer it over the Japanese one. O_o

That's interesting. I still don't know if I'm going to get HD, cuz I'm not too fond of card-based RPGs. I guess I'll wait for reviews to pop up here.

It would be interesting if Goku weren't in the game, since he's dead in Future Trunks' timeline. ;o

I'd buy the North American version of Harukanaru Goku Densetsu just for that box art.

Yes. "Harukanaru Densetsu" has the best US boxart ever. It's even... better... than the original .

The NA "Harukanaru Goku Densetsu" art isn't bad, but the font is bleh & the 7 Star Dragon Ball ends up getting all deformed for that. Overall, it ain't bad.

Doesn't seem like anyone's posted this. Here's a couple of videos:

I really don't like those videos too much. Trunks looks like he's going into Hyper Mode with that yellow glow around him, and who wants that. Aura Burst Charge, whatever its called, it better not be like Hyper Mode.

As for the new blue bar under the HUD, it looks like a guard gauge. And I can't understand why we need one.

Also the camera angle is... off. Looks too much like BT. Hopefully they'll include the original camera mode as a selectable option.

That aside, its not looking too bad.

It looks like the Shin Budokai series is trying to imitate the Sparking! series. A lot of the effects look really nice, as expected from Dimps.

Shouldn't it show Goku falling to a knee or something at the end, instead of it saying "You lose" and showing the opponent (Gohan) saying he won?

So far they say everything looks good. And as for the camera, I think it'll only make the experience better. I think the Tenkaichi camera angle / 3D flight + Budokai 3 fighting system makes for one of the best DB games.

However, this line concerns me.
Another Road follows a "what if" story surrounding Trunks and marks the first time in the franchise (not just the videogame series) that fans are presented with an offshoot storyline. The story is based around Trunks and his rise to power, though a number of other characters do appear and will be playable through the course of the six-hour story mode.
Meh, I dunno how long Shin Budokai's story was, but I believe I was playing it for longer than six hours, maybe not. Maybe I'm expecting too much. Whatever =P

Also, this confirms two more characters: Dabura and Teen Gohan =D

(How will Teen Gohan work into the story? o_O)
