Cover art that is relevant to the story can also be found here, here and here. TOEI's cooperation not required. I'm not making ANY assumptions!!!! The original UUE artwork was cool and relevant! FUNI has done it in the past.

I think you're taking this FAR too seriously. The fact of the matter is that Funimation DID make box art that was, well, not too good. irrelevant to the arc in the set, and it's stock art. It's inconsequential, sure. I'm sure a lot of us realize that. But it's still something that is fun to make fun of. And with a lot of the OTHER decisions they've made about the set that makes purists(like myself) very unhappy, we're very much in the mood to make fun of them here and there.

But again, it's all in the spirit of good fun.

I tend to think the trend is with FUNImation... if they gave us what we wanted, you wouldn't hear any of this. Any complaining done by anyone here is typically in a direct response to something they've done.

I think the only thing most people agree upon that is considered good and/or great is 1) the entire series is being released and 2) its at a good price. (maybe 3rd, the subtitles are great, but they've always been so).

Unless you complain/tell FUNImantion what you want (what they are doing wrong) how will they know otherwise? The only thing they will see is great sales, with no issues, and think the current path is what best suit the customers wants/needs.

No, it's not. It's darkest in the middle of the night. Just before dawn, the atmosphere scatters light over the horizon, allowing it to get brighter even though the Sun is not over the horizon yet.

I "apologize" if that's annoyed you, sir; I'm having a really bad day for various reasons, and it's got me in a rather bad, "zero tolerance for bullshit" mood. Whining and questioning an entire company's competence over a DVD cover certainly falls within my current shitlist.

Every fandom has it's problems. I know we're not on the level of unwarranted bitchiness like I've seen examples of in the deeper Naruto and Death Note fandoms (both of which I avoid like the plague, even though I like the series themselves to some degree), but in my opinion, it's still getting pretty bad. Even with DragonBall, Daizex is already the only place I let myself get involved in.

I'm just sick of the seemingly endless complaining, whether it's "justified" or not. Saying "well it's all [company X's] fault!" is really no excuse, nor is it making anything better. You can choose to bitch and moan over and over to no avail, or you can do what you can and then choose to take what you can get out of it or not.

For anyone who really has a problem with the box art/boxes in general, I will gladly make new box art for every season set for you. I just need time and specs for a new box, do they sell cases that can hold Six DVDs?

And if you had no idea, I have no problem with the box art, cause I just don't care. Do I think they could have done a better job, of course. But is it a big deal, no. I don't even have a problem with the box itself, I just don't like how bland they are, but I am not going to get angry about it cause it just doesn't matter.
