That looks worse than Season 2 :?

Either that, or my sarcasm detector is malfunctioning.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I don't think there's any sarcasm anywhere in that statement at all.

Anywho, if they do plan to release these season sets for Dragonball somewhere along the line, hopefully the color of the boxes won't be blue. Any shade of Yellow would be much more welcome imo.

Aside from the slight blurring, it doesn't look too bad. And since it doesn't seem you've taken into account that FUNi zooms out, THEN crops, there'd likely be a decent amount less cropped than that. You'd probably see down to about halfway down Nyoi-Bo's hanging drawstrings.

But it's not likely FUNi would crop DB sets anyway.[/url]

If it was worse then Season 2 everyone would be angelically white.

Funimation rep told my friend yesterday they would be out "sooner than you would think." I think he was being fed a line but I wasn't there.

Correct me if I'm wrong but they said that they wouldn't be cropping any series other than Z right?
Be grateful the filler in Dragon Ball doesn't suck like the 3rd arc of Rurouni Kenshin.

I don't remember if they've said anything like that, but GT's trailer doesn't show it as being cropped, so I guess that's a good sign.

FUNi can, but the Z season sets prove that FUNi's waaay too prideful to do that.

Since Funi is the "top dog" in R1 anime land, it wouldn't be a bad idea. Shit, it would waste the time and money needed to "remaster" the series. The only thing necessary would be to dub the next episode previews.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

That sucks for me personally. I mean I have all of Dragon Ball in 4:3 (including the first 13 episodes from the Madman release), I have all of GT in 4:3... And yet Z, the one that undoubtedly, no matter which country's release you get, has a huge gap in episodes... THAT'S the one they decided to crop.

I can't help but go all...fffffgay... right now, but, he looks even more adorable than Chichi in that picture...

I don't care if it's remastered, cropped, blurry, upside down, inside-out, I just want it.

I kinda agree with that, some fans throw DBZ into four arcs, Vegeta, Freeza, Cell and Boo, Funimation and dubbies, or most American/English/Aussie fans say them as the Sagas and now there's "Seasons"...

The "sagas" existed in those 4 before FUNI ever released anything DB in the US. Back then, that's just how the people on the net broke up the series. Not much info was available back then states-side (Hell, the series was still going on back then as well in 1996, and GT was just getting announced)

Maybe it was me but I saw the Saiyan, Freeza, and Cyborg/Cell arcs as one big thing. Hell even Buu to an extent because it still dealt with unfinished business from those arcs.

Point is I don't see it like Funimation has with the Ginyu Saga and the Super and Kid Buu sagas and the Fusion saga and the Babidi saga. It just seems like a cheap way to get money.

Yeah, it was a way to get people to think they are buying a full arc when they really weren't.
