I'm just curious, how much is it usually for a Dragonbox? The Bookoff near me has the second DBZ Dragonbox for $450.

More than $450! That's an awesome deal, especially if it's new. I just saw the first DBZ Dragonbox on Yahoo Auctions with some damage going for about $600 and I thought that was a good price. From what I can tell, the DB and DBZ Dragonboxs (new) usually go for about $800; and the movies Dragonbox for about $350-400. You can probably find them all cheaper than that, but $450 for that DBZ Dragonbox is about as good as it gets...I just hope such great deals are around in 3 years when I can start buying Dragonball stuff!!!

Yes, definitly pick it up, that's a fantastic deal. That box usually goes for 700-800$ plus shipping if you want to buy it online.

Oh, haha, I was just curious. I wasn't planning on picking them up, because I tend to be more of a manga enthusiast so I'm happy with just one watchable version of the anime. But yeah, if anyone wants it, its over at the Costa Mesa BookOff. Its been there for at least a year (when I first went there) and got knocked down from 600 to 450 in a few months.

I think I may run there soon!

I have to work all week, but maybe I'll check it out this weekend!

Hell, I'd pick it up just to hock it on eBay for a profit that would allow me to buy all the season sets.

I'm afraid I can't say exactly what condition its in. Maybe I'll stop by tomorrow and look more closely at it.

But yea, I'm not exactly the type to get something just to sell it on ebay for a lot more that what I got it for, just not my thing I guess. I'm more of the type that would pick it up so I can have art contest or something. I do have an extra Dragonball Tournament saga, and Daizenshuu 2 sitting around for that very reason, although I have yet to do that...

Well, I would at least want the box to look good for display and most importantly, in good enough condition to hold all the discs.

Is there any way you can check if all the discs are inside too? I would hate to spend the $500 on this and find out some of the discs are missing. :x

If at this time you find that it doesn't appeal to you then take a break and get back into it when you feel you want to. If you mean that you feel that the manga and the other things associated with Dragonball are expensive, that's another ballpark. Yeah, the stuff is expensive and it's not going to change any time soon. Long gone are the days of the bargin bin and the cheap DVDs . You can do what so many people do and get them on the most easily obtainable format in your area. Try Amazon or Ebay (or local varients of the same thing) to find the merchandise for less. You are kind of out of luck with this one.

Gyahgyahgyah~ I tricked you! Now that that DragonBox is gone from the store, I shan't be tempted by it anymore!!! Eheheh...just kidding, well, sort of. Anyway, I'm glad for you.

But yea, that place does get the random Daizenshuu on occasion, too, for anyone else that might be interested. But be warned, I really live 2 minutes from that place, and if I see those sitting there for more than a couple weeks, my heart breaks, and I'll pick them up so I can find a good home for it.

There's 2 other Bookoffs that I can check out, although I doubt the prices will be lower, along with the chances chances of a DBox appearing there.

Maybe I should pay my bills instead. :?
