lol 5000 people to like a movie is pathetically insignificant.

Realistically it should do decent as far as ticket sales go. If they can come out with a better trailer in December. If Fox is lucky it'll do just well enough for a sequel and they'll take their time and do it right this time.

Doubt it. I just want this movie to come and go quietly so I can forget all about it.

If movies like Resident Evil, Blade, Fantastic 4, Saw, Hellboy, Scary Movie, Meet the Spartans (you know what I mean), and plenty of other movies I can't think of can do well enough to get sequels then I'd bet the farm that a movie as "horrible" as Dragon Ball at least has a chance at getting a sequel. Terrible adaption or not.

My point exactly. Someday a person might say "Hey, screw you. Dragon Ball rocked.''

Blade and Hellboy were awesome. If you don't like them, you don't like comic book movies.

Also Fantastic Four sucked because the comics sucked.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Jesus Christ I'm glad somebody said it.

So stop trolling up the threads about it and ignore it. You're really not contributing anything here, just making snarky comments that serve little more purpose than to upset people.

I think what you want to say is that you are tired of it being brought up here. Am I right about that? Or are you just trying to reel one in?

I suggest you read The Coming of Galactus. That 3-issue stroy is a classic. They didn't call Kirby "the King" for nothing.

Has Galactus gotten a proper portrayal anywhere outside the comics? (I'm not entirely sure about the Silver Surfer cartoon, considering that it lasted for like two weeks... :( ).
And movie Doom was essentially nothing like the meglomaniacal scientist/mysticist/ruler of a European country who put on his mask before it had even cooled from making so as to destroy his face entirely... what we got instead was your run-of-the-mill vanity-obsessed rich jerk who has a fall and then enjoys playing games with the heroes just because.
Although I guess I have to forgive movie Galactus.

So, yeah. I'm hoping Piccolo doesn't turn out to be another Doom. From the looks of it, that probably won't be much of a problem... so *worries about Goku instead* :-/...

Yeah, he was there in all his pink armored glory. Also in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, but I dunno if video games count.

Best portrayal of Galactus was the episode of the 1960s Fantastic Four that adapted "Coming of Galactus" very closely, albeit with a minor change or two. That series did stick to its source. My dad still says that was the best single episode of any cartoon ever, and tells me to get that series for him when it gets released on dvd.
