Fuck yeah, that's the coolest cover so far. I need to get some money together to buy all 3 last seasons together...

Yes he was.

He had all-too limited interaction with Gohan about the Saiyaman thing, he destroyed all the cameras using more of his odd psychic tricks(clothes beam!), got a higher-than-average score on the punch machine, and was incredibly important when dealing with Kaioshin. Due to his relationship with Gohan and his God half, his interaction with Kaioshin is important. Because he decides to trust Kaioshin, even though it means an undefined but certainly not-that-great fate for Gohan.

But yeah, the image used for the insert should have been the cover.

After Saiyaman, Piccolo seems a rather good choice so far as "significance" goes, what with his knowledge of and acknowledgment of Kaioshin. Not really any kind of SUPER-important contribution, but I don't think there was much of that from anyone in Season Seven's episodes.

Y'know, I'm glad they evened this series out into "Seasons" because I always found it a bit annoying that every little event was turned into a saga.

I think Season 7 should have had Teen Gohan on it, as he is relevant to the story and deserves a cover.

His pupils are really, really far in. He's extremely cross-eyed in that picture.

Personally, I don't seem to be as bothered by Season One's image as I am towards Season Four's Trunks. Yuck. Atleast it's relevant to the core content I suppose.

For season 6, they could've vectored this and called it a day, as they did with USSJ Vegeta on the cover of the Double Features. But..alas..

This was in the booklet, why wouldn't they use this?

I liked the first Vegeta one, it looks cool. I would actually prefer it if his pupils were gone, doing some creepy power up look, but it still doesn't really look that bad.

That would've been a great cover. However, I suppose FUNi didn't use the image because the style wouldn't be consistent enough in line with the other covers.

But, I guess I'm putting words in their mouth. Then again, they smear poop on their consumers. Often.

That's drawn by Naoyoshi Yamamuro. He was quite good in the DB series, but his recent works (video game and DVD covers) really suck..

Looking back, these WERE pretty bad. Seasons 1, 7, and 8 all suck, seasons 2, 3, 4, and 9 are just acceptable, and the only ones that actually give me a TRULY satisfied feeling are 5 and 6.

Also, if we had to use Majin Vegeta for Season 8, why couldn't it have been the scene where he kills the tournament spectators with his hand stretched out and that evil grin? That would've kicked ass.

... Shit. Look at 5 and 6. THEY SHOULD BE THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Goku's holding out his palm to show five fingers(for season 5!), and Cell had more to do with the Cell Games than Goku did! Shit, that would've been AWESOME. I can't believe FUNi could not see epic in that scenario.

Anyway, the cover looks great and all, but this is the worst choice of season sets covers, in my opinion. It just HAD to be Buu! Any forum of Buu would have done it!

I still think they should have done covers with multiple characters. The single character trend is poo poo.

My ideas were.

Season 1: Raditz, Vegeta and Nappa
Season 2: Uh, the Fucking Ginyu Force!
Season 3: Freeza is fine, but maybe with SSJ Goku.
Season 4: The Androids and Trunks, simple, done.
Season 5: Piccolo and Imperfect Cell
Season 6: SSJ2 Gohan and Perfect Cell
Season 7: Great Saiyaman with Kaioshin, and Paikuhan
Season 8: SSJ2 Majin Vegeta and SSJ2 Goku
Season 9:Mystic Gohan, SSJ3 Gotenks, Kid Buu/Super Buu and Vegetto or a huge group shot.
