What If characters you would like to see in a game.

I feel that Dragon Ball is so rich in ''what if?'' possibilities, I feel it's a shame they the concept a lot more than they do in the games.

Even if it's silly, it would be interesting and likely entertaining.

Well, the Cell Files has (blank) entries for unintroduced characters (ur, and seems to be a little out of date), and it looks like there's only one Trunks listed. I wouldn't be surprised if there's another Trunks, as a complete lack of Gotenks would be kinda bizarre.

Goku and Gohan also have black hair. We don't know what kind of hair color Trunks would have had had he had a tail. But, come on, a purple Oozaru would be awesome.

Hm. I guess so. Still doesn't account for all the instances where pallet swaps are used as alternate costumes when actual alternate costumes are plentiful.

*was going to comment on how characters that didn't really fight got included, but then realized that Sparking/Budokai are DBZ games, with pre-Z and GT as extras more than anything*

I go with the born without tails for two reasons. One, it's what Toriyama says (even if his reasoning doesn't work in the real world) and two (and this is the big one for me) it fits perfectly with my theories on SSJ. Such as having a tail inhibits the transformation into SSJ and so forth.

I think there was something about it in the Super Saiya-jin legend... but I'm not certain.

Yeah, in one of the interviews he was asked about their tails and he said they didn't have them, that tails were recessive. (Which doesn't work in our world, but hey, fantasy universe were people can turn into giant apes with monkey tails when they see a full moon.)

I keep hearing this. What's the reasoning behind it?

For me, I came up with that idea because of what we see during the series. First of all, none of the Saiya-jins have tails (if you ignore Toei's nonsense in GT) while being Super Saiya-jins. Secondly, SSJ was this rare thing before that hadn't happened in a thousand years... and now everyone's doing it. Thirdly, Saiya-jins protect their tails, and most people wouldn't know about them being the cause anyway, so it's unlikely many Saiya-jins lost them before. Or lived for very long even if they did, as they're likely in pretty bad shape if the enemy was able to remove their tail.

That's really about it, but it makes sense to me.
