I'm still waiting, for all of my Dragon Boxes.
The thing that annoys me, is that there a likely possibility of me receiving my Dragon Boxes in two weeks.
Ugh, waiting is torturous.

I know what you mean... I also have to wait for them for 2 weeks... One weeks has passed and another to go... Can't wait to have the beautiful DragonBoxes (Vol. 1 and 2) in my hands...

1. Are the Dragonboxes available on Blue-Ray or only standard DVD?
If they ARE available on Blue-Ray, is this the route to go? Especially since the industry seems to be moving in that direction?

2. Would it be a waste of money to buy the Dragonboxes IF I only intend to watch it in English? Keep in mind, I already own all 9 orange bricks.

I'm just not a fan of listening to episodes in Japanese and my main draw to pick up the boxes would be for picture quality ONLY since I ALSO prefer Falconer's score over the original.
I honestly can't think of another reason to buy them unless you guys can think of something I'm missing...

1. Only on DVD.
2. The picture quality on the Dragon Boxes is great and much much better than the season sets. But if you prefer the dub score and can't stand hearing the dub with the original music then the Dragon Boxes aren't for you.

Looking at what I put in bold from your post, you should be able to answer what you want yourself. The Dragonbox has no Falconer music on it.

Even if they were on Blu-Ray, I would stick with standard DVD but that's just my preference.

As much as I love to encourage people to buy the Dragonboxes, I wouldn't recommend it for you because you like Faulconor's music which is nowhere to be found on the Dragonboxes PLUS you already own all the orange bricks. You have your definitive collection.

I'm probably going to repurchase Box 3 at some point to get a second-run version that has the gel. It's absolutely ridiculous that they would let something like that slip through the cracks.

Can you post a picture of the tape thing, please? It's just I haven't seen a dragon box without gel, also are we supposed to remove the back sheet?

I'd say it's about half and half. Sure, there's an element of humor to it, but you've really gotta be into it if you just won't accept it any other way except for in its original form.

I guess that brings into question if VIZ manga fans are lesser fans then those who read Simmon's subtitles. That's kind of why I hate the "hardcore" fan arguments.
