I can't wait to see the full trailer this footage is from in HD so that I can see all the details. But it definitely appears that Shenlong does have his long horns, it's just they are white and the clip is so fast it's hard to see them.

Emerging from smoke is cruise-control for cool?

In all seriousness, I'm not sure; though, considering how many times in Dragonball (or at least DBZ?) characters emerge from it dramatically after huge attacks, I'm not too surprised if there's a lot of it used here.

Just making assumptions about these clips at the moment, though. I don't have time to watch them at the moment, much as I'd like to. :X

I can't take a screen cap, but if you pause the video at 5 seconds on the left side you can see Shenlong's massive horns.

And what massive horns they are! ;D

Really, I do think he looks a little too western as far as dragons are concerned. I'll agree, he reminds me of something out of Jurassic Park. But it's fine, I suppose, and perhaps not the most offensive change in the movie.

Well, I can't see Shenlong well enough to form an opinion; the head did look a little T-Rex though.

Other than that, I think it was an effective ad. If I didn't know ANYTHING about this movie other than this ad, I'd be excited for it.

But I do know a lot about this movie, so instead I end up coming away with this "Oh that looked cool; but I still know there's gonna be high school and I'm-not-ready-for-this depressing Chatku in this movie.".

So I'm torn.

Hey, it may not be the Shenlong we're all used to, but I could get used to it. This just leaves one question, who's doing Shenlong's English voice in this?

Hm.

I dunno. He's kinda...meh, you know? I mean, it's not BAD, but...

...Well, for Shenlong in the movie, I'd hope for some "Wow". I wouldn't really mind creative license if the result looked awesome, but this is just kind of "Oh. He's a dragon". It doesn't BUG me so much as there is a lack of appropriate awesomeness. But if they gave him some appropriate scale, made him truly gigantic, then I'd be perfectly happy with it.

I think Shen Long looks pretty good. From what I had heard, I was expecting to be very disappointed. But he looks fine, and close enough to his anime-counter part to suit me. In my opinion, he is certainly not something to complain about in the movie. There are things that are actually wrong with this film, like high school... and stuff. But this isn't really one of them. I must say, I would have to be a very paranoid young man to shit a pistol over Shen Long's horns not being the right size or some crap like that.

Except Shenlong isn't even supposed to have horns. He looks more like a Western-style dragon than he does an Asian one. The only thing that looks remotely like an Asian-style dragon about him is his body. That's really it.

Hell, he looks like Draco from Dragonheart with a horn on his snout.

You and me both. *pat-pats shoulder* Huh, I wonder if the pat-pat will be adapted into such a 'shoulderized' manner, as Chatku's way of showing "deep deadpan sorrow" in conversation with Bulma. I'm telling ya' Chu, sometimes it's best to crack a little fun at this movie just to keep from getting into as drama-deadpan a mood as Chatku seems to be in practically everything advertised thus far. Not that I'm trying to call you that, you're awesome! Though I guess asking for a genuine pat-pat in this film would be less likely than a naked Chatwin swimming for fish. And now I'm rambling. ^^;;

Very odd design of Shenlong IMO.
