Doubt U3 is axed next unless 118 is written by Toshio(he said he wrote a U3 episode).
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
It's more or less implied between the title and the summery. Yeah, summaries have been wrong before, but everything seems to point to Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku getting bodied or extremely pushed.SansrivaaL wrote:There was no mention of SSJB being on the defensive there.HeroR wrote: It was in the summaries for 115.

I would have seen it that way if the prev didnt show SSJG was the one being bodied, but anyways we'll find out this coming episode.HeroR wrote: It's more or less implied between the title and the summery. Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Her getting focus is why I think she should get a meaningful win, since otherwise it makes all that focus a waste of time. The androids haven't done anything in a while because they had their big moments in 101-103 and now there's nothing left for them to do. Saving Goku and whittling down Universe 2 is good enough for them to go out on.HeroR wrote:Rib being around for so long and getting so much focus is actually more reason for her to be knocked out, especially since the androids haven't done anything since 103.Kataphrut wrote:
You've touched on a point I was trying to make when i say it would be a bad idea to have 2 or 6 go out. They still have so much to offer; in fact, as much as people may not want to hear this, in a battle between Ribrianne and the Androids, Ribrianne has more reason to survive. The Androids both had some cool moments early on, but have disappeared for most of the Tournament since. Ribrianne has stayed prominent in the interim and had moments of sympathy, but hasn't actually accomplished anything. If she beat the Androids and got revenge for her teammates from 102, that would justify the focus on her and tie a bow on her arc. The Androids don't have an arc, they're just around to be cool and stoic. They've done a good job of that, can they join the humans in the stands please?
When I say Ribrianne needs a win more than the Androids, that also applies to Toppo against Vegeta. Because this is what happens when the writers insist on giving so many fanservice moments for Universe 7 without enough losses to compensate. The tournament becomes hugely unabalanced and I find myself desperately rooting against them in every fight just because I want the tension to come back.
If any Universe had to go now it should be 3. They have nothing going for them whatsoever, no focal point and no major threats. At this mid-point in the story, we can afford to lose them. They're not "bad" like 4 or 11 (who are bad in the sense of being the most antagonistic, and in the latter case being the biggest threat to Universe 7), so the term 'Tragedy' could still apply to their loss. I mean, so far every Universal loss has been played for tragedy, starting with the semi-villainous 9, whose episode title included 'Despair'.
And we past the mid-point and are in the 'climax'.
If the Androids win against all of Universe 2 without a hitch, what else is there for them to do? Throw themselves at Jiren like pigeons throwing themselves at a cat? I'd rather the wins start getting spread around than have Universe 7 survive to the end with seven members still in and needing to be soloed by Big Gray to raise stakes for the final battle.
And I think it's safer to say we're at the halfway point than the climax, since you know, the sky turned green two episodes ago. Even so, Universe 3 have lasted way too long.
You've got a point, but at the same time this arc has been so all over the place with tone that it's hard to tell what exactly we're meant to feel. The beginning and the Zen Exhibition match were quite morally grey, then it got a bit lighter during the recruitment arc. Recruiting Freeza was ambiguous as hell, and the two Universes being erased were played for pure horror and sadness. Most of the individual fights have been a romp, but since the special we've started to see the drama creep back in. We've had Hit, Cabba and Caulifla all acknowledge the stakes and the dangerous position they're in for the past three episodes. Toppo and Ribrianne have had their moments as well, which is quite shocking from a pair of otherwise cartoony characters.Totamo wrote: This arc doesn't have tension and I don't think it was even suppose to. You have a bunch of jokes and parody characters actually being parody characters, Goku is rarely trying against anyone. Not too mention, we know everyone is coming back via super dragon balls.
The only reason why the universe destruction was added was because it was the only intelligent way to gather all these fighters.
Its just about fun and cool fights, why do you think Goku is having fun.
So the tension is there, it's just not being felt by the protagonists, who are all doing fine and dandy. Universe 7 have plenty of members left, even Goku took his loss to Jiren in stride. Normally the middle of the story is where the heroes hit their low point so things can build back up for the climax. That's happening to Universe 6 moreso than 7 which makes them look like the real heroes of the story. This is why I hate the idea of 6 going out soon, and really want 7 to start losing people. I don't want to feel like I'm rooting for the villains.

Let's see here
U7 and u11 are safe for obvious reasons
u3 has an episode based on them written by Toshio so there safe for now unless it's 118
U4 has the cicadas so I don't see them going either
U6 or u2 are likelier to bite it in 118

Sorry if already posted, Bandai's first half FY 2018 results are out.

DB continues to hold the top spot that it grabbed in the first quarter and made more than twice as much in the first half of this fiscal year than the first half of last.

If Kefla and Goku teamed up they'd whoop Jiren's ass
Jiren put in very little effort while dealing with Goku, even in his climax moments. No signs of struggle whatsoever

Didn’t Goku say he needed to go Kaioken in the preview? I thought it was pretty transparent between the title and that statement Blue wasn’t going to be enough. Don’t really need to wait to see what happens in the next episode when it already tells us.SansrivaaL wrote:I would have seen it that way if the prev didnt show SSJG was the one being bodied, but anyways we'll find out this coming episode.HeroR wrote: It's more or less implied between the title and the summery. When some Universe is mentioned whether in the summary or in the title, that Universe is gone.
So I really think it's U2, unless proven otherwise in 118's summary.

Goku isn't even at full power lol he continues to not be at full power and he's been having fun and toying with the girls even as a tired SSG. Kefla is being compared to a tired goku and while it can be seen as impressive. It really isn't. And UI being used sounds like a better move than using kaioken let alone any other number of kaioken above x1 which we know is hard on the body. More than UI from what we've been shown. And I know people are getting mad at "triggers a further power up in his opponent, Kale". But... SS Berserker perks lol
Zamasu is the best DB villain besides Freeza (and this is only the case because the current Super arc elevated Freeza to be that good).
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
And the U6 Saiyan wank continues.
Fuck that it needs UI to take these two out. It would've been so much better if they didn't get this rush job power boost and at least have Kale fight Gohan. A fight between the two rage-boosters would be cool

Well, Kafla acting as Goku's UI trigger was obvious, especially with how much it's been mentioned those last couple of episodes that he's pushing his limits everytime he transforms. She's getting something new too, so it should be a cool one.
The Androids are finally back in the spotlight as well, against U2 nonetheless. It will be fun to see 18 vs Brianne or Rozie and 17 against anybody, really.
Regarding the next Universe to go... I don't see any way how that won't be U6. Ever since the special we've constantly gotten focus on them and with Kafla going against UI Goku (and with Freeza as back-up) the Saiyan girls are goners. That leaves the U6 Namekians and I can totally see 118 being the episode their fight vs Gohan and Piccolo gets the focus. And with U6 gone, Vegeta will be mad, leading into his and Toppo's fight. It just makes too much sense.

The Androids are facing all of Universe 2 according to the summary so I think it is more likely to be the end of Universe 2 in episode 118.Draconic wrote:Well, Kafla acting as Goku's UI trigger was obvious, especially with how much it's been mentioned those last couple of episodes that he's pushing his limits everytime he transforms.
