Sorry. I avoid Tumblr so I'm not sure what it's called these days. It was hermaphrodite when I was younger, but when political correctness states 'eskimo' is offensive, you don't know what egg shells to walk.

What you all are trying to say is that he looks androgynous, and that's what he is. He's still Super #17, only with the facial features of #18.

Well that would be extremely boring and lazy. I like this design, it's uncomfortable and provocative in a good way.

I didn't mind his Cell Absorption. The super huge frame along with taking on Cell's features was kind of cool.

Now his Android #16 Absorption was lazy. It was just the super huge frame without Cell's features. I was expecting a set of armor reminiscent of #16, or a new hairstyle with features of #16, or maybe even a mixed color scheme. Instead we got something we've already seen with less features. But whichever. It is what it is and I'll take it for the art and what-if scenario.

I always viewed Cell as finished. He was created to absorb #17 and #18 in order to evolve and that's it. Nothing would happen if he absorbed anyone else.

Super #17 on the other hand was made to be the ultimate Artificial Human, so it makes sense he has technologies ans failsafes from all other models. In this case, he as #13's merging abilities and he's able to merge with all other models. To me, this just makes the character more interesting.

While I have never liked Super 17 there's no denying his power and its obvious that Gero and Myuu incorporated all of their genius into creating him.

He base model is the infinite power cyborg type android, he's got an updated (yet flawed) energy absorbing system (19 and 20 and possibly older models) which actually increases his power rather than just energises him, the inbuilt weapon systems similar to the purely mechanical type android (16) and he has the enhanced senses, superior energy manipulation and absorption abilities of the upgraded older models (13). In a way his mechanical body is easily as perfect and Cell's biological one. He's only real weakness is that he lacks any form of healing factor.

However I never liked the idea that 17 was somehow supposed to be superior to Cell. Unless Gero changed his mind and/or made new breakthroughs in his research afterwards (at least in GT's continuity). Looking at how 13 was improved appone I suppose its possible.
