Ah hopefully Vegeta doesn't get destroyed like he did against Kid Buu. So wait, Is this whole cross over thing going to be in anime style or manga?
Crossover looks to be like that 2D TV special OP/Toriko crossover Toei did years back; it aired either before or after that week's episode of One Piece. (It looks like this may too, since it's scheduled for that same day of the week). I never watched that one though, since I don't like Toriko.
I'll probably watch this one though since DB's in it. I do like OP.
It would've been nice to have seen Cross Epoch animated instead, but maybe this special will have something worth watching in it?

Aw, Vegeta doesn't look so good with cream hair and pastel jumpsuit. I miss his Buu arc colors

What I can't quite figure out is what Vegeta's doing with his left hand there; I guess I need more context for that.

I'm guessing Birusu is just so strong that he actually needed to reinforce his defense for that blow, which seems a little more martial artsy than more recent content from the series...yay? lol

I've always enjoyed the martial artsy parts of DB, so that would be awesome if that's what Vegeta's doing there.

I would have a fangasm if they actually do some martial arts animation like in the 23rd budokai, not just
"HYAHYAHYAAA" *blurry of blows*
Heck, "Majin Vegeta vs Goku" animation would be so freaking sweet.

It seems like a lot of the screenshots we're getting lately have to do with Vegeta's fight with Bils. Maybe he actually has a pretty good fight against the guy instead of it just being a complete and utter defeat situation.
And like I said in the thread about it specifically, hooray for the DB/OP crossover, just kind of a pity that Toriko is along for the ride too.

Agreed; both on Vegeta getting a really nice-sized battle and sad that Toriko's being tacked on to what I'd prefer to be just a DB/OP crossover.
I read in the other thread that Toriko's not even doing that well; from what I've kept on with general Weekly Jump info, that definitely supports the idea. A lot of the currently-popular semi-new Jump manga would be a little difficult to crossover with DB though (AssClass, Nisekoi, Kuroko's Basket). Right now Toriko feels like a slowly sinking ship that Toei is desperately trying to keep afloat.
Also the other two popular battle manga (Bleach and Naruto) are held by a different animation company, so that's another reason why it's Toriko instead of either of those.
EDIT: No BOG-related stuff in Weekly Jump 11's TOC. There's a One Piece Film Z page though, apparently.

I didn't even knew what Toriko was until I googled it just now.
Cross Epoch would have been amazing. In a way, the name always makes me think of Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. xD

I knew when I learned that it was going to replace Kai.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Cross Epoch had so much Oda-worldbuilding stuff in it too~
I really liked seeing him and Toriyama team-up. The two of them balance nicely.
I don't dislike Toriko, I'm indifferent/neutral to it.

hmm, a One Piece X Toriko X Dragon Ball Z special, huh? Too bad we're not getting some sort of adaptation of Cross Epoch
I read the news on Anime News Network and I'm still not sure how excited I should be about it. Anything new Dragon Ball related, especially animation-wise, immediately gets me super excited, so this is no exception. But then I remember just how "good" the Toriko X One Piece specials were, and my excitement goes away a bit.
Let's hope Toei does a brilliant special this time around.

I think I already know the answer to this question, But what in the world are people blabbering on about Vegeta going Super Saiyan 3? I've heard of of no announcement of such. if the news info doesn't come from this site then I just completely ignore it. Now I'm not bashing this young lady for making this video but where is this from?

The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

You're not the first to question this. This is merely a fanart, depicting a SSJ3 Vegeta, Super Saiyan mystic Gohan, and some sort of new version of SSJ4 Goku. People are taking it as official art or some-sort of confirmation. There has been nothing to suggest Vegeta is turning SSj3, in fact, none of the characters are receiving a power-up in the movie, from what we know, as of right now.

This movie has caused fans to run riot with rumours because it's taking place all the way in Japan. It's so much easier to get away with it at a time like this, because people still seem to treat Japan like some far off, mysterious land where awesome Dragon Ball shit takes place but very few actually see it- which is annoying because it's not like we're getting our information from Beckett magazines now.
And in all honesty, I'll be quite pissed off if we see any new Super Saiyan 3 transformations. At that point, it'll start feeling like a fan-fiction.

That's the video i was talking about in my reply a few pages back. She's pretty much feeding false info to people and people in the comments believe her! Does she not see the watermark by the creator? Does she not notice that Gohan picture was taken from his fight with Buu? Does she not know that SSJ3 Vegeta picture has been around for a bit? It's really annoying -_-

Yep, is been hell also in the Latin front.
The facebook group I'm following is trying to get enough people so Fox or Toei notices them to get the original Latin voices for this movie, and also they are doing their best to clear the stupid rumors about this poster and other videos. I'm not sure, but I would be willing to say that the owner of the group is using Kanzenshuu as his main source to check for news relating to the movie or he definitely has someone in Japan too.

There's probably no point, but I tried to stem the flow of misinformation.
I don't know why.

Not only is it fanart, it's disguised, recolored screenshots from the anime. The Goku is a glory shot from GT 35 (when SSj4 Goku is beating the crap out of Baby, just after Baby's stunned cough), and the Gohan is from Z 263 (when Ultimate Gohan is telling Piccolo and the others that he was saved by Kaioshin). I recognize the Vegeta too, but for the life of me I can't place it with regard to the series proper.
EDIT: Figured it out. Z 228. Majin Vegeta, a split second before Babidi talks into his head and we get the shot of Babidi reflected in Vegeta's eyes.

I believe its a shot of Vegeta in Cooler's Revenge. He also had his Cell Saga armor at that point... Otherwise I don't remember where else he could have gotten that shot.
