Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE" (PS4/XB1/PS3/360/PC) Official Th
I thought there might be two types of possession going on from Towa. One where she fully takes control of a villain, and one where she temporarily controls them to avoid a pivotal moment for that character's defeat (like forcing Raditz to dodge Gohan's headbutt). But appears it's just an inconcistency between eye designs for the game and art, which is disappointing. I kind liked the red "blood drips", but seems those aren't going to be in the game.

Anyone who has played network test know the framerate for Xenoverse on PS4/X1? Is it 30 or 60?

I'm pretty sure all the PS4 footage we've seen so far has all been 60FPS.mysticboy wrote:Anyone knows the framerate for Xenoverse on PS4/X1? Is it 30 or 60?

Strangely, there has been no real 60fps footage of the game uploaded. All footage of it labelled 60fps on YouTube is a lie. It's just 30fps video rendered out of a 60fps sequence.
The only video I've found that's indicative of 60fps is this off-screen footage from London Comic Con - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2GVmvXQqSw
In terms of the official announcements, the developers stated they were 'aiming for 1080p 60fps' but it has yet to be confirmed. Watch Dogs was 'aiming for 1080p 60fps' and well...that wasn't even close.
Honestly, if they can't get 60fps out of this on a 'next gen' console, I put that down to sheer incompetence. Ground Zeroes is a rock solid 60fps experience on PS4 during even the most intensive of cutscenes.
I'll be on PC so it doesn't really affect me unless they introduce some arbitrary FPS cap.

A lot of ignorance in this post about comparing Watch Dogs an open-world game with a lot of things going on vs a Anime game that's nowhere near as demanding. Listen Tenkaichi series and the RB Series were 60FPS. What makes you think that Xenoverse on current gen won't be 60FPS? It's a fighting, not an open-world, RPG, action-adventure and etc. Where there is competitive scene 60FPS should be the prerequisite.

I've had quite enough of you and your attitude. Your incredibly rude assumptions are based entirely on a distinct lack of reading comprehension. So no, there isn't any 'ignorance' in my post, thanks.donkeyjack wrote:A lot of ignorance in this post about comparing Watch Dogs an open-world game with a lot of things going on vs a Anime game that's nowhere near as demanding. If you take the time to reread what was written; you'll find that I wasn't comparing an open-world game with a fighting game. I was drawing up an example of how what developers say prior to launch isn't always indicative of the final release's specs.
I have no doubt in my mind that they'll be able to achieve it. That's why I brought up Ground Zeroes - a semi-open world, graphically demanding game that happened to achieve 60fps. If Konami can do it with that game then it should be logical that Dimps can easily do it with something like Xenoverse. I think that was abundantly clear in my first post.
As for a competitive DBZ game? That's...uh...yeah.

Ground Zeroes is nowhere near as demanding as Watch Dogs plus these current gen hardware are weaker than their predecessors. You know damn well that Xenoverse on last gen and current gen are going to be 60FPS. 1080p is obviously for current.

I...what? Again, you're not really not paying enough attention to what I'm saying.donkeyjack wrote:Ground Zeroes is nowhere near as demanding as Watch Dogs plus these current gen hardware are weaker than their predecessors. I'm not making comparisons between Watch Dogs or Ground Zeroes. Objectively, Ground Zeroes is far more taxing that Xenoverse is ever going to be - the point being that if Ground Zeroes can achieve the intended 1080p 60fps then Xenoverse should be perfectly capable of that on PS4 also. I really shouldn't have to repeat myself for the third time.
I don't really understand why you're assuming that the last gen version of the game will be 60fps. The network test ran at 30 and I'll be genuinely surprised if they crank out another 30fps by launch. It's not unheard of but it is unlikely.

Well I can't read almost any of it, but a lot of it seems similar. Other than the big changes of AGE 850, actually seeing all the Time Kaioshin/Time Scroll/etc, lack of grunts for Towa & Mira, and Toki Toki City being a thing, of course.CashmanX wrote:http://dbx.bngames.net/world/

A bit disappointed that the AGE 850 thing that was posted on a Japanese game website like a month ago turned out to be true, but I guess I'll just have to catalog all of Xenoverse's events as yet another timeline vatiation. Won't Herms be thrilled? More actually noew story stuff from a game intended to be a continuation, instead of a retelling, to be added into his next History of Ever guide. Whether that be another topic, or finally a guide on Kanzenshuu.

Is this considered as a continuation? I mean Trunks sends someone back in time to the old battles to prevent Towa and Miira from changing the history. Wouldn't that be categorized as retelling?

Another continuation of the series, not DBO, instead of a traditional retelling of Raditz to Buu, like practically EVERY game from the last decade or so.

Yeah, well, who knows what will happen at the end of Xenoverse? There could potentially be a cliffhanger that could ties up to Age 1000 for a game sequel.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Another continuation of the series, not DBO, instead of a traditional retelling of Raditz to Buu, like practically EVERY game from the last decade or so.
