There'll be a year or two before another VA is chosen as a sign of respect. Most likely there'll be a hiatus or they'll write around having no Bulma for a long while.
They really don’t do that. Roshi’s original VA died in the Buu Saga and they kept going.
I doubt Bulma is scheduled to appear before the end of this arc, so they have 3+ months to find a new Bulma. But yeah, they won't do any write around or hiatus.
That said, I don't remember feeling such sadness after a seiyuu's death. This is truly devasting and unexpected.

I'm still wailing on the floor at how utterly amusing this is.
Lol. How cute. Too bad he's going to fail miserably
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

Saddened over Hiromi Tsuru dying. I came to like her (and the rest) a fair good amount the more I watched Super in Japanese. 57 is an age still young to die at.

One YouTuber I subscribe to just did a Nice Video on Hiromi Tsuru and went over her Career and Meaning to him, it is Very Nice, the Legacy Hiromi Tsuru leaves is Massive!
I just had to go back and watch this, when a Legend was Born!
This is Hitting Really Hard, She was their since the Very Start, the 1st Lady of Dragon Ball and the Girl that Started it all! Without her their may have never been a Goku and Hiromi Tsuru played her Perfectly.
Hiromi Tsuru is part of the Legends now and this beginning moment just shows how MASSIVE her presence has been since the start!

I wonder if that's tradition in japanese shows especially those targeted at kids.
I am pretty sure I have seen western shows where at the end of the episode they would say: "this episode was dedicated to [name] [year of birth - year of death]."
I am sure that doesn't go for live action shows exclusively, but also cartoons, as I recall a Justice League episode dedicated to someone.
Maybe if they make a slice of life episode after the ToP, that could be dedicated to saluting her.

Not sure they do that since Roshi's original VA got no tribute when he died in the Buu Saga. At least not as far as I remember. Someone could look into that.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.
The irony now of seeing future Bulma killed by Goku Black in Super is not lost on me. As well as present day's Bulma's last lines, "Good luck, everyone!" in terms of the fate of their universe.

...Did he die before or after the episode, where Roshi "got familiar" with #18?

His last episode is when Super Buu ate everyone.

Oh okay!
I was just contemplating the fucked up idea of dedicating the aforementioned episode to him with Roshi being at his absolute worst
