It easily could, but even if that is the case, it wouldn't lead into DBO as is. Just with the little bit of information we have on the game's events, it's definitely another timeline.DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:Yeah, well, who knows what will happen at the end of Xenoverse? I see what you mean. After checking out the DBO guide, it would seem that the game is in the alternate timeline, since in Age 762, the Namekians were trembled at Miira's appearance in their new planet. In the game, the unknown character was sent by Trunks to stop Miira, who again went back to Namek, and their goal is different, I assume? And this game was stated to be taken place at Age 850.
Edit: The more I read, the more confusing I get. Is the Time Patrol referred to as an unknown character sent by Trunks or is it Trunks himself? Apparently he (Trunks?) had to deal with the Time Breaker who is trying to churn things up in the old battles. I'm not really sure what the difference is between this game and DBO.

Wait wait, So Toki Toki city is in age 850 in Trunks's timeline? And in some weird place we don't know of yet? But then how is trunks still so young? This is all so confusing...

Trunks looking young could easily be his Saiyan DNA affecting his appearance.CashmanX wrote:Wait wait, So Toki Toki city is in age 850 in Trunks's timeline? And in some weird place we don't know of yet? But then how is trunks still so young? This is all so confusing...
I'm so looking forward to this game. Expecting great shit. Haven't fully enjoyed a game since Tenkaichi 2.

No, the lifespan for a Saiyan is similar to that of a human's. It could be that Kaiojiken grants Trunks a longer lifespan, if not for eternity. Trunks was seen alive who is still looking younger in Age 1000, about 250 years after Trunks left the main timeline after the Cell arc.TheGmGoken wrote:Trunks looking young could easily be his Saiyan DNA affecting his appearance.CashmanX wrote:Wait wait, So Toki Toki city is in age 850 in Trunks's timeline? DBO has Trunks basically blackmailed into working for the Time Kaioshin. Shortly after the last time we see him in his timeline, he's contacted and told he's broken the law by using the time machine. The Time Kaioshin is willing to overlook the offense if Trunks agrees to help her stop Mira, and he does. He immediately seems to travel to AGE 1000 in the main timeline, where Miira has set up his base, and warn everyone about him. he then sets up the Time Patrol in AGE 1000 to help defeat Mira's forces when they travel to the past. The "Future Warrior" in DBO is actually a kid who got sucked into a time rift and was rescued by Trunks, setting fate in motion...DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:I see what you mean. In Xenoverse, it seems a lot of the DBO history never happened and Towa and Mira are working together, but without the other Time Breaker forces. He apparently sets up Toki Toki City in AGE 850 as the base for the Time Patrol (which timeline is uncertain), and has been trying to stop Towa and Mira himself. Unsuccessful, it appears he eventually resorts to summoning a "Future Warrior" via the Dragon Balls. (We don't know much more about the actual Time Patrol portion at this point.)
Toki Toki City doesn't exist at all in DBO. Trunks works out of West City. For Xenoverse, all we know is what age the city exists. We have no idea what timeline it is in. The city seems to be built in a location surrounded by a Serpent Road, like the one that leads to North Kaio's planet, as well as similar planets and other floating cities..or other portions o Toki Toki City? I dunno. With the Serpent Road tie, I guess it could be wherever the Time Kaioshin's realm is, where the Time Storage Vault and the Time Scroll are kept?CashmanX wrote:Wait wait, So Toki Toki city is in age 850 in Trunks's timeline? Regardless Trunks being young isn't a problem. She could have asked him for help in whatever AGE, and then time traveled to AGE 850. Maybe this is the era Towa and Mira are using as their base to cause havoc in this game's timeline?

In DBO, Trunks Probably leaves his timeline sometime shortly after AGE 788 when we last seem him in the manga. He then time travels to AGE 1,000 to warn everyone about Mira. There's very little aging involved here...
Xenoverse could very well be the same.

Someone has to ask Namco Bandai to make some kind of data guide booklet that contains the information about the history that preceeds and occurs in Xenoverse. It would be nice to own the guide that describes the timeline. It would also be great for them to include some kind of new tidbits.
It would definitely make things easier for you, TheDevilsCorpse.
I'm disappointed that Xenoverse isn't related to the main timeline, though.

It would certainly be nice. That's why I'm hoping the game comes with such information in some sort of digital encyclopedia, is revealed during the game's movie or story, or that they cover it in V-Jump around release.DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:Someone has to ask Namco Bandai to make some kind of data guide booklet that contains the information about the history that preceeds and occurs in Xenoverse. Honestly, everything is practically related to the "main" timeline, but unable to be in the same continuity with each other. So we just have a lot of branches now. Toriyama has shaken up the various continuities we did have quite a bit in the last couple years, and Xenoverse is kinda doing the same. It won't effect anything for a lot of people who don't like anything that isn't strictly found in the manga or just discount games in general (despite the intentions), but it will for me. So I'm honestly not sure what anything is anymore. I mean, I feel bad for myself trying to sort all this stuff out, but I feel even worse for Herms because he enjoys this stuff...but also eventually wants to make a coherent guide for it on Kanzenshuu. How do yo do that when everything is a huge mess? xD

This game happens in Age 850, right? So it would be one year before Miira arrives on New Namek in search for Dragon Balls in DBO. It could be that the Time Patrol in Age 850 didn't have enough strong warriors to stop Miira and eventually dissolve shortly after Xenoverse, but many years later there were enough warriors who possess Saiyan and Majin DNA to firmly establish much stronger Time Patrol. It would be in that year's time that Miira formed the Time Breakers, wouldn't it? It's possible that the "Future Warrior" only momentarily stopped Miira, but he escaped using the Time Passport and silently waits for right time to invade the Earth, thus linking to DBO. In all honesty, only a few things were changed to accommodate the game. This could still fall in the same continuity as the manga.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:It would certainly be nice. GT is also in the game, it's hard to have both GT and DBO in the same timeline since Dende got rid of the Dragon Balls a few years after Buu, Piccolo is still alive and Uub never fused with Buu. I consider Xenoverse to take place in it's own timeline and not existing in any other Dragon Ball timeline.

We were talking about Xenoverse and Miira.... GT has nothing to do with this.

Yes, it's mainly only little details that have been changed for now, but that doesn't mean that they don't amount to a bigger issue. Could you possibly find some way to merge the two storylines into one? Sure, I plan on trying for my own project. But it's just not as simple as just cutting and pasting parts of what we know about them together.
We don't know why Trunks is in AGE 850 for Xenoverse, but DBO tells us that the first thing Trunks did once the Time Kaioshin recruited him to help with Mira, was to travel to AGE 1000 and warn everybody about him. He then stays in that era to help. Toki Toki City even existing, as well as AGE 850 being a setting are a poor fit to squeeze in there for any reason. Add onto that that Trunks acts like he's meeting Mira for the first time in the TMQs, as well as having no idea who Towa is when he first encounters her in later TMQs (despite the dubious pair seeming inseparable in Xenoverse). And the list goes on, but this is enough of a point for now. It's very likely things could change even further once we get our hands on the game, especially if they include GT in the Story Mode, which completely conflicts with the manga and DBO.

Since the "Parralel Missions" exist in the game, I think that there might be a timeline where Dende didn't get rid of the dragonballs and then the shadow dragons show up. I'd imagine Omega Shenron being a boss character there. And before anyone says no, think! The parallel missions have the Ginyu Force on earth, Goku siding with Raditz, and all that crazy shit.Hellspawn28 wrote:GT is also in the game, it's hard to have both GT and DBO in the same timeline since Dende got rid of the Dragon Balls a few years after Buu, Piccolo is still alive and Uub never fused with Buu.
