Congrats. They were too strong and over leveled for this YEARS AGO! They're tested against people around the level of Saibaman. Whom they could handle already.

Cell Jr's have a species name, like Saibaman, and are actually...a threat. Hell they'd still be a threat, more so than the army.

Yeah. You are certainly the man when you make the bid bad fear you. It's doesn't matter if you fail to make a difference to protect the world, as long the big bad feared you, your death will be vindicated. If Batman could make Darkseid piss his pants and drop his regular attitude, sure. I'm so glad the earthlings could crush a bunch of ants beneath their feet. I'm sure that elevated them....oh wait it didn't. Next let's have them fight 1 million mind controlled humans. I'm sure that's a huge threat and something that'll make em look just as impressive.

If the battle against the Saibamen proved anything, it was that Yamcha didn't learn shit as he was still killed by one of the after gloating like an idiot and that Gohan was still a coward even after training with Piccolo for a year as he trembled in fear at one of them charging towards him. And the Cell Games, which provided some of the most iconic moments in the franchise, and provided Gohan with his epic day in the limelight, only happened because Cell was arrogant, an idiot and bored.

Which still brought far more character and worth than nameless soldiers dealt with in 10 seconds. Yamcha got powerful, but was still arrogant. Gohan cracks under the pressure of a fight of this caliber. Krillin enraged and attacking all Saibaman, and then seeing he couldn't hurt the Saiyans. The Cell Jr. could legitimately kill and make it impossible to wish back any of the heroes except Trunks. There's stakes, a threat. 1000 weaklings that even Freeza knew stood no chance offers nothing. It's flash and no substance.

It's not the form that's useless. It's the two users (Goku and Gotenks) who lack common sense in using it in long fights.
