There's a difference between just being skinny (like Pure) and emaciated (like Evil). I'm not sure what else to say here. They just look skinny to me. Super Buu is muscular, but he's still lean, especially when you compare him to the other muscular characters, who are usually drawn as being bulky as hell.

Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Well, to me skinny is not simply not being fat. To me, skinny is someone who looks like he is actually "lacking flesh", hence the skinny, as in looking too much like he only has skin instead of flesh, or yet in other words, TOO thin.

If I wanted to say thin or lean, I would say thin or lean. I specifically say skinny because that's what the word evokes: lacking flesh and being TOO thin.

Does Super Buu look like he is lacking flesh? Does he look TOO thin? Does he look too much like only has skin instead of flesh? No, he looks average, or even fit.

And Kid Buu? Does he look like he is lacking flesh? Like he is TOO think? Does he look too much like only has skin instead of flesh? He looks like he has an average build for a young kid who is not fat.

By the way, if you consider Super Buu's physique skinny, then, in your opinion, a top professional athlete with basically only muscle in his body with top physical condition is "skinny". Example:
Because that's basically what you are saying since the physique shown by Cristiano Ronaldo here is similar to Super Buu's physique.

Hey, so as much as I am totally, one hundred percent okay with posting pictures of half naked soccer players: It probably is time to refocus the thread!

Espieode 45 is coming out soon and it features one of my favorite Goku moments yet.

Okay, this is off-topic (as Kaiser pointed out), but one last thing: I used the skinny to mean "lacking usual bulk". Meaning, lacking more flesh than average, but not actually being unhealthy. Skinny only means that they're slimmer than average, it doesn't mean that they're TOO thin. Anyway, thin, lean, and skinny are synonyms according to my thesaurus. There's totally a difference between just being skinny (Pure Buu) and being emaciated (Evil Buu).

"Very thin OR too thin"

"lacking desirable bulk"

Neither of these necessarily have to mean emaciated. I've seen multiple perfectly healthy people described as 'skinny'.

OKAY, WE'VE NOW MOVED ON FROM TALKING ABOUT BUU'S PERSONALITY, TO BUU'S DESIGN, TO THE DEFINITION OF SKINNY.

BACK ON TOPIC.

I'm really liking you guys' portrayal of Cell. Can't wait for the 17/Piccolo fight too.

Do the "real life" parts of Celloween take place in the abridged "canon?" Basically, are they at the part where the androids arrive at Kame House, or is Celloween just its own thing?

I'm 'meh' on it. This stretch of the story is pretty boring to me, added jokes or no.

I'm excited for it! Soon?

I do know that if DBZA ever gets to the Buu saga, now we need the characters to just stop in the middle of the episode and start arguing every aspect of how Buu's changing round in circles.

Celloween takes place about... 3/4 into the episode proper. You'll see where the connection is, within the episode itself. It's technically canonical!

Oh I can't wait for that part....a Chi Chi Bitch Punchin XD

I kinda like Cell but I don't think anything will ever top Freeza for me. LittleKuriboh just sold that role so damn well he was funny and legitimately terrifying when the script called for it. And some of his one liners...oh man those were awesome....speaking of Freeza. I want LK to just have him say "I'm back Filthy Monkey's" in a small teaser for the new movie.

Freeza was amazing. That reminds me of something I've wanted to know for a while... Was LittleKuriboh intentionally channeling Richard Dawkins when he was doing Freeza?

Well now that this thread is back on track...lets totally derail it again with guesstimates of what "soon" means by Kaiser's standards.
I was originally hopeing for 5 minutes but that isn't the case :(
So maybe 24 hours, a few days, a week, 17 and a half years! What could it be!?

Oh and I am totally going to use that gif :)
