Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

If this film does just as good as BoG then I'm going to assume that this might be a regular thing. I mean, with the money these films bring in, and with the way they're trying to expand the universe and incorporate the (multi)verse(?), of course they're going to be a regular thing.

SO excited for this movie!

I really enjoy all the possible theories, speculations, art etc surrounding new releases, it always manages to rekindle my love for the series.

I'm also really looking forward to this new direction the movie is going in. I don't mind them going slightly darker with this one, and the tagline sounds very ominous. I really hope it's something like connecting the different dimensions or opening a gateway to other worlds like some users have speculated. How can the Z-fighters fix something that threatens the existence of everything around them...I hope it's not just a simple Villain vs. Goku battle, but something more complex.

Hoping we get to see Bulma pregnant/little Bra too!

I am very sure that even if he doesn't do anything with GT he will never do that for the reason that Super-Saiyajin 4 was already made and I am sure that he does not just ignore that one and makes another one called "Super-Saiyajin 4".

The storyboard of the opening animation to BoZ was done by Yamamuro? It was the worst fucking shit ever. My expectations are getting lower and lower. Who the hell chose him as the director?

Morishita Kouzou hired Hosoda Masahiro for the previous film. I'm beginning to think Morishita hired Yamamuro Tadayoshi for this one. Then again, for that Opening the directing was by Gotou Yasunori so that might explain things...

...then again, if Yamamuro directed for the Dragon Ball Kai Opening, Ending, and even the Dragon Ball Heroes commercial I suppose it still looks pretty bad for him. The one half-way decent idea in the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z Opening was that sort of panning rotation cut of Gokuu and the others. Because it is unlikely that Yamamuro will draw all of the movie's storyboard himself perhaps he will leave the action cuts up to whatever talented animators he can acquire?

He didn't had anything to do with GT other then doing character designs and background designs. In a recent interview, he never brought up SSj4. If he makes his own SSj4 then the SSj4 in GT would be called something new now. I think if Toriyama is apart of newer Dragon Ball media then I guess he's likely going to ignore GT, the older DBZ movies and fillers since he didn't much do with them. It's not his creations, he seems to prefer DB stuff that he has made.

But current Goku is pretty op compared to the rest of the saiyan z senshi so I wonder if they will get power ups too (extremely possible with the ssjg power up, although they may not be able to absorb it like Goku did) or if they will just be treated as the z senshi before them and soon become irrelevant (of course excluding vegeta)

Whilst I agree that Goku is indeed over-powered at this point in the timeline, the nature of the series narrative has meant that the strength of the protagonists has snowballed exponentially with the introduction of progressively stronger villains. Whilst I'd like to see more of the ensemble cast, I think it's probably unrealistic to hope for anything like that. What I think would be nicer is to have an opponent who poses a different sort of threat as opposed to just being another super strong bad guy.

Given that we've now reached the point where Goku overthrew the galactic overlord whilst relatively weak and is now basically fighting Gods, it's seemingly a little ridiculous for even stronger foes to popping out of the woodwork at this point. Some originality from Toriyama would be wonderful at this point... Which is why this 'worst wish ever' has got me so excited!

Wasn't it confirmed that dragonball is a multiverse in the last movie? I would imagine the next threat will be someone from a different universe who maybe even beerus is scared of. Or whis is the fv seeing how he is a 15 and Beerus is a 10, he would need stronger Goku and possibly vegeta to fight him. But having at the very least piccolo being relevant again would be nice

It was, but probably not in the way most people would interpret a Multiverse after DBM.

Anyway, I'm not seeing this as likely. The events of the last film showed us that Beerus hasn't had someone that would consider a challenge to him, other than Whis, in a really long time. His talk with Goku at the end of the last film also shows that he's not very familiar with the other universes, if he even knows anything about them other than the fact that they exist. Depending on when this film takes place, Beerus is likely either sleeping or hasn't been awake for long, so I doubt he's just got someone who scares him too by the time this film's plot unfolds...but then again, this is Toriyama and he can pretty much do whatever he wants.

Allow me to rephrase: this is the Weekly Jump version of the movie announcement, which is different in design although it contains the same information. There are no "new" details revealed (though "new" is subjective, as the issue in fact came out at the same time as the issue of V-Jump whose announcement we've been discussing for a week).
