Would be awesome to have it on my WiiU.
I'd like some clarification on this too hopefully, cuz...I don't have a Wii U. A big part of me wanting to pre-order this game (when I originally wasn't going to) is going to be getting Super Butoden 2. But if I can't play that via my 3DS...well...then we have a problem. :P

The Super Butoden 2 download is for the 3DS only. There is no Wii U version. It is a unique eShop code that enables you to download it (for "free" once you've, of course, purchased Extreme Butoden). It appears as its own icon on the 3DS screen, and is launched completely independently of Extreme Butoden.

W-wow.

A North American release of Super Butoden 2? Wow. In 2015!? WHAAA!!? Tell my 13-year-old self that back in the early 2000's. From that perspective it's completely unbelievable... but there it is. Holy shit.

Sweet, so that won't be an issue at all then, thanks Mike!

Gah...as happy as I am though, I really wasn't planning on pre-ordering this...but now I probably will. Thankfully there's a good bit of time before it's release for me to mull it over before I finally cave no doubt though.

A complete letdown it's the Japanese version.

Well at least we got the main game.

Is the Yamamoto score intact in the 3DS version of Super Butoden 2, or was it taken out?

Replaced. All-new Super Famicom tunes reinserted back into the game.

So how did they get away with including it as-is in J Legend Retsuden?

They presumably don't care when it's sticking within the confines of Japan.

Is the replacement music good? I still think it's a bit of a shame that the original soundtrack had to be replaced. I loved it.

EDIT: Just searched for the replacement music. Yuck it's terrible it doesn't compare to the original soundtrack.

I wouldn't say it's "terrible" at all. That kind of off-screen recording is what's terrible for judging audio!

Here's the replacement version of Vegeta's theme running through my mixer for a straight capture.

Thank you for sharing that track.

I actually like the replacement music. It really sounds like they were extra tracks that were cut from the original. (although I will miss Vegeta's orginal track)

Thank you for providing that. Vegeta's replacement theme actually sounds pretty decent to be honest. Although I do still prefer the original version (It's iconic in my opinion). I'll hold off judging the replacement soundtrack for now until I hear it in better quality .

It's not terrible, no, (in fact I think it sounds quite good) but it sounds more like Game Boy Advance music. Also, one of the major draws to me of the game is the original music. I mean, that atmosphere is incredible. This is good, but it just doesn't compare. Oh well.

You should pm me the secondary code that lets you view the guide over the phone with the ShonenJump app.
