I just thought of something. If the Namekian dragon balls were used (and if we assume they'll be used in the anime, since Kibitoshin de-fusing is a big plot point), this means that the Namekian dragon balls won't be accessible. If Freeza blows up the Earth in F and they change it so that Whis doesn't reverse time, then doesn't this mean they'd have the perfect chance to go to universe 6?

Of course I could be forgetting how much time the namekian DBs need to recharge.

Sorbet is adamant that they need to revive Freeza, but if they still follow Resurrection "F" ( which is likely since they do appear to be following BOG's AGE 778 placement), that probably means he's going to start looking for Namek a bit harder. It could still take the ~9 months until Pan is born for him to decide they need to go to Earth, and then still the 4-6 months for Freeza to heal and train once resurrected. So we could still be looking at the same ~1.25 year time frame before Freeza blows up Earth.

The Namekian Dragon Balls take ~130 days to recharge...

I really doubt that they're going to change the ending of "F" anyway. That means half the DB cast will not be around for U6 arc, which would suck 'cuz seeing Goten, Trunks, Satan and Buu messing around there would be so much fun. Not to mention that Freeza would be alive and Vegeta will be dead. I highly doubt they'll change it.

This is the only reason I can think of to why they'd go looking for them.

I think they did it the way they did was to avoid ending it on a cliff hanger.

They're not doing anything important with them so they might as well get rid of them for awhile.

Or Vegeta will Kill Freeza and reach Goku and the others before the planet blows up.

The Gotenks one is particularly weird since the anime purposefully changed it to smacking his arm instead of his butt which is where the big hair of 3 would've gotten in the way.

I can't say about the the RAW Japanese, because I haven't seen it yet. The Korean version says he's the Hakaishin of Universe 7 though, but I don't know if they fixed an error from the Japanese version or if they translated correctly and the English translation made the typo.

Piccolo never said he was sensing the God ki. He just explained that mortals can't feel it, which he never questioned in the anime either (in fact, in this scene in the anime he turned to Dende, asking him for confirmation, which shows he was aware about God ki. remember that?). The only difference is that Whis explained the deal to Gohan in the anime.

If he could measure the extent of Beerus' strength he should be horrified ever since he appeared on Earth.

The fact alone that he always asked Dende for confirmation proves that Toei forgot he fused with a God.
While it can be debatable, why he can't sense God ki thanks to this page:

In other hand, while in the manga is not 100% confirmed, its more possible he can. Since he never asked anything to Dende, I will take this one.
Just like I took Vegeta was a ssj2 against Beerus in BOG Movie, even without the sparks effect. Which was fixed in Super.

Piccolo is not a coward. Doesn't matter if he can sense how strong Beerus is, he would still fight if he needed to.

He was the only one who recognized Kaioshin, it was a big plot point for most of the Boo arc. And even though Godly Ki obviously wasn't introduced then, they made a big deal out of Piccolo being the only one who could recognize Kaioshin because of God (and the others couldn't sense his Ki, iirc).
