For some reason we didn't have Chala Head Chala in Budokai 1, but we had all the other full vocal openings for Budokai 2 and 3, and as I understand it, the USA only had instrumentals of those openings.

So....with any luck Europe will be getting the full vocals!

Hooray!

In the case of Dragon Ball games living in England is a good thing. Of course when the stupid football (or soccar in America) is on and footballers are yelling/chanting/singing in the night keeping me awake it sucks to be in England.

Really? I thought Canada also got the good stuff like that...same as Australia, though aren't they notorious for -really- late releases?

@Gaiash :Good thing I don't live by any football stadiums then, all of the good with none of the bad!

On topic though, in the big 3 minute trailer with narration from Goku and Piccolo, I noticed Future Trunks had a really generic looking rush attack, I hope this is just what they put in for Trunks (I mean, he doesn't have any outstanding melee action in the series that can be recalled unlike some other characters..)

I just hope they didn't show us all the unique cool stuff then when we get to play the game a lot of characters have generic rushes anyway...

Nor do I, they still chant along in the middle of the night on their way back from the pub.

Here's the second Developer Diary. Besides stating that the number of stages would exceed 30, nothing of importance was revealed.

WOW! I must say that was awesome!!!

They did somthing that I thought was needed For ultimates such as Broli's Giant Ki ball, basically letting a cutscene ensue on contact rather that it just dieing out after it's made it's hit but I was fine before 8)
Hopefully the Genkidama gets the same treatment (I stopped watchin' the vid after Broli's part cause I did'nt want to spoil the rest)

Wow, 30+ stages? That is awesome! Seems to be the only new information so far.

I am totally bummed about the lack of Japanese music for the European release.

As for the vocal opening, super survivor doesn't mean much to me if for the rest of the game I have to put up with the absolutely pathetic rejected Sonic the hedgehog music, I mean seriously, what is the point of a song select if all of the tracks fucking suck?

I play without music for that very reason. It's pretty cool actually. 8)

I actually played Sparking Neo with the music off, and played the Japanese BGM on my iPod. Good times :D

I play Budokai 3 without music too.
Playing the original music on my own pc.

I don´t think the original music IN the game really matters because
it is boring. I mean, the music never changes during the fight, and
when I play with the original soundtrack on PC at random, I get really
surprised sometimes, it just lives on.

Haven't Myto confirm that the European release would come with the original OST?

By the way, the other day they talked about remixed versions of the tracks. Like others asked: will be remixed japanese tracks? or remixed Budokai tracks?

Other thing is the opening. All the DBZ openings from the games came in vocal versions.

It's been confirmed? Just when I had confidence in Atari... just as fucking cheap as funimation.

I have no problem with the music already in the games by mr Kenji Yamamoto, I really enjoy them, and I can just as easily listen to the music in Sparking Neo, but I'd say Mr Yamamoto's music is more Ipod friendly since it's not so dramatic, just good listening :)

I like the English music better too game wise, especially due to it having more variety then the Japanese version (yes I own both thanks to this forum.) About 4 tracks on the Japanese version are just remixed, rehashed versions of songs that are already on the game in there original format. The recap music comes to mind. But I do like the Japanese music too so it's basically win win for me.

So by now you all may know; what kind of mode is in this game? Like storymode or dragonuniverse or something.. there will be flight over?

I think I had the music turned on in Sparking Neo for a grand total of about an hour until I could no longer stand it.

See, I'll probably have to resort to the same thing, the frustrating thing being I don't own any of the cd's, here's hoping someone uploads the tracks from the JP version for everyone else that got shafted by Atari.

The worst thing is, it doesn't even sound like the music from the dub!, I would almost go as far to say as it's worse than Mike Menza's score from GT (almost)

From what I've gathered, it's called "Dragon History" and has many different branches depending on the outcome of various fights, some of which lead to What Ifs.
Hey, I entirely forgot I had an account here. AGAIN.
