There is only "Defense" or "Lets Work Together" that seem like they would work I have tried both.

That's why I play online. Ally A.I. is too unreliable.

Goku needs to calm down with that Kaioken of his.

"BODY DON'T FAIL ME, BODY DON'T FAIL ME, BODY DON'T FAIL ME, BODY DON'T FAIL ME, BODY DON'T FAIL ME, BODY DON'T FAIL ME" will forever be stuck in my head now.

Well, that and SSJ Goku's "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" every time he gets knocked down.

First time playing online, I immediately saw Goku's Kaioken becoming an uber spam move. Sure enough I can't go one match with him in it without hearing "BODY DON'T FAIL ME!" a million times.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

And his Super Saiyan forms: "Now I'm really mad!"

Yeah, I usually mute the game after about an hour or so.

The game debuted at number 3 in France's all format charts on PS3. The Vita version was the best selling Vita game for its release week. http://www.sell.fr/top

Battle of Z dropped out of the UK top 40 though.

Anyone know how you get Super Saiyan God Goku? I'm at the God of Destruction mission and I haven't gotten him yet. Or do I get him after I beat the mission. My team consists of Super Vegetto, Kuririn, Kid Gohan, and Sage Mode Goku. Also, any one find it weird how a CPU will be right next to you when you're knocked out and sometimes won't revive you? It's kinda infuriating.

I was broing it up online with some dudes and we were able to beat both missions. Got a Z rank on Vegetto because the guy playing Majin Vegeta did his ultimate move. It was rad. One of the dudes I was playing with really wanted Super Vegetto and wanted to share accounts and I would get Super Saiyan Bardock. I politely declined. But yeah, for some reason I'm really into this game. I'm having a great time with it. Anyone up for a Kanzenshuu game night of this on PS3 where we all get together and play against each other. I think that would be pretty fun. Also, how do you get SSJ3 Goku? I was able to get an S rank on the Super Saiyan 3 mission but only got SSJ2 Goku. Also, do you get Majin Vegeta from S ranking the mission where Buu is released?

Anyone else think this game is ridiculously fucking hard? I'm on the Cell Games stage, and as soon as it starts, I got five ki blasts spammed from all directions at me from Cell Juniors, so every two seconds I'm getting knocked down. Brilliant. After I get over that hump, Perfect form Cell knocks me out with one melee combo, and then does the energy field thing and kills my whole team. After I sweat bullets beating this geek, he becomes Perfect Cell with full health, and I'm one death away from game over. Okay, I'll throw some Kamehame-Has at him. He either blocks it perfectly or teleports away... EVERY TIME. Melee hits/special do like a microscopic amount of damage. How the hell am I supposed to win?

I'm up for that game night business! I'm also having a (raging)blast with the game. Each character is very unique. Some moves are incredibly show specific as well (such as 3rd form Freeza's projectile catching stance. Simply amazing attention to detail).

Either play online, or (ulp) you gotta grind, son. I was stuck on the same mission and ended having to go and replay some of the older missions with the same team. Outfit your boys with the right cards, level up their AI a bit, and you should be good to go.

Yes, and its not fun hard, its annoying hard. The same thing was happening to me. The way I beat that mission was putting cards on Super Saiyan Goku and added two Krillins to my team. Took me 5 times but I got lucky and beat it.

I guess it's because I was using Vegetto and some random characters post-Freeza that the game didn't really get super hard until maybe mid Boo. Perfect Cell did give me some trouble though because he is kind of a bitch to beat. Also, anyone else thing Norio Wakamoto's Imperfect Cell is off? I haven't heard his Semi-Perfect or Perfect forms yet, but I assume they're the usual video game Wakamoto where it sounds bad. Which sucks. Been mostly playing with the dub, don't know why. Just felt like it. Also, earlier in the thread someone mentioned eventually having no characters locked out on missions. When do you get that?

I got it after beating all arcs as both heroes and villains, I am not sure if it is dependent on mission or not but I beat Buu Saga as Majins to remove the restrictions...
added two Krillins to my team.
I put Goten and Kid Trunks on my teams... got tired of Krillin getting the shit kicked out of him

Oh man, I just attached the 100+ speed card to one of my characters for the first time and it feels tremendous. My team is so well equipped that we can trounce that perfect cell mission with no sweat now. I am having so much fun with this game it makes me want to cry. It's the first game to really feel like the franchise at certain points. Fighting all the cell juniors or the ginyu force feels like a melee straight from the pages of the manga. I urge you guys to at least try the title out.

You get SSJ3 Goku from The Universal Battle. The one with SSJ3 Goku, SSJ2 Vegeta and Fat Buu.

I forgot the mission number.

I don't remember Majin Vegeta sorry

Putting aside all the bashing I gave to Battle of Z due to its terrible gameplay I've got to say that after replaying again the online demo (PS3 -- My 360's Gold membership has expired) with Vegeta it was pretty fuckin' awesome.

All I did was mash the same buttons and in the end I was the one with the highest score, but still, I for one won't pay the full price for this game because once the online is off or you're somewhere without internet the game doesn't really have much to offer.

Namco Bandai should have released a game like this back in 2008-09 for Xbox 360 & PS3 as both systems needed a multiplayer DBZ game like this, or better, Zenkai Battle Royale / J-Stars Victory.

Drop it down to £15 and that's a deal! :P

Turns out everyone's horrible ultimate attack reaction is just their guard break reaction, in slow motion.

Also, has anyone ever tried just sitting back and letting their team handle a fight? It's really fun to watch, especially against the Oozarus.
