Freeza has a battle power of 120,000,000 without ever training a day in his life. 14 years of being dead should be enough for him to become however strong the story needs him to be. You don't keep your body in hell. That's an anime only thing so he wouldn't have 14 years. Also he would need some damn good sparing partners considering self training isn't that good in comparison to having a teacher or sparing partner.

Freeza could still have a lot of high tech stuff at his HQ planet. If Freeza returns back to his planet after being wished back then he can find ways to catch up to Goku and the others in a year. I hope they do Freeza's training well and explain why he got so strong seeing that he would be powerful enough to one shot Cell now.

The "you don't keep your body in Hell" thing can easily be explained away. For instance: isn't it Piccolo who says that? You could write it off as "so, what does he know? So he was Earth's God, big whoop. That's like lower level management." Also Enma Daio mentions that Dabura would like Hell too much, so he sent him to heaven instead... this line was in the manga, not just the anime. It implies there are general exceptions to the rules... Maybe someone who's killed as many billions as Freeza kept his body on purpose so he could suffer for eternity? It doesn't take that big a stretch of the imagination to come up with excuses.

I'm amazed how rigid some fans are with the established continuity of Dragon Ball, considering that Toriyama himself keeps contradicting stuff left and right, as long as it makes it more fun. Can't you guys just go with the flow? Ignorance is bliss.

How could Dabura enjoy or not enjoy hell if you lose your body and get cleansed and reincarnated? Also it implies there are exceptions, just like I said. Piccolo never said "but really, really bad people go to heaven because they'd like Hell." No, Enma apparently can make exceptions. Like he did for Freeza.

I thought it was he forgot what SSJ2 was and thought SSJ3 was SSJ2.

And there's a lot of possibilities as to what could happen. He could be revived years prior to his actual assault on Earth, spending the time gathering his forces and training. He could have found a way to train in Hell (perhaps there is a way). Perhaps it has something to do with the wish that brought him back.

I think you're assuming that souls are not sentient and/or experience nothingness, which isn't the case from what we see. Reincarnation doesn't happen immediately, and unless this movie bends the rules of Other World, we'll be able to say with certainty that it takes many, many years.

I can understand the regular grunts having old style armor. No one really cares about them and it may take a while to produce new suits for all the ranks. Tagoma and Sorbet have new, advanced armor designs though, while Freeza is still in his old style suit from Namek. Kind of wish he'd have gotten the upgrade too, since he is the head of the organization.

I guess he still could, but I feel like they rather keep the nostalgia.
