You just have to go on YouTube and see people praising the ‘Saiyan Showdown’ and even Reddit.

You don’t have to be salty towards me that people didn’t mind the Saiyans getting a bunch of spotlight, even given the nature of Cali and Kale’s characters.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

They mostly enjoyed Goku beating them up.

So?

And people did enjoy Kale’s getting control of her form and the teamwork they used in 114, even by people who hated them.

I see people praising as a highlight because of Ultra Instinct, Goku using his energy to dodge Keflas attack and Kefla getting bodied rather than the whole 4-5 episode fight with the girls.

What can I say. Saiyans are way more popular than Namekians.
Not 6 episodes popular though.
That’s an opinion.

For the most part, a lot of fans consider the ‘Saiyan Showdown’ the highlight of the arc. So take that as you will.
No they do not, you are just trying to troll him.

As of right now, the fights with Caulifa/Kale were definitely the highlight of the tournament and what people will talk about for years to come. Every other fight is too brief or didn't make much impact.

We'll see how the final Goku/Jiren fight goes. But as of right now I don't see any other fights in the tournament, even if most were good, being considered standout.

I think among the fanbase the first Jiren vs Goku fight will be favored over Caulifla/Kale vs Goku.

But you bring up a good point there are is a lack of impact fights you measure it against.

I wonder if the movie that's coming up is about the Yamoshi tidbit.

It actually makes thing worse because it undermines what Goku and the others did to justify those 2 getting everything for nothing. It makes Goku seem like nothing in comparison as it took him YEARS of hard training to get what he got yet they were born with it. Plus it doesn't fix their beyond annoying personalities.
No, it doesn't make it worse. And U6 Saiyans have been better than U7 saiyans since their inception biologically. They're just better whether you like it or not. I'm not talking about their personalities. Let's be honest, most of the hate came cause of their strength. That complaint in now null and void. And there have been characters that are better and stronger than the main cast for YEARS. Freeza never trained a day in his life and was stronger than everything Goku went through over the course of over 20 volumes and 24 years of his entire life. And I'm sure you, like nearly the whole fanbase, is wondering when Goku is gonna surpass Beerus or if he's already done it when Beerus has been alive for 10s of millions of years and Goku is around 45 years old currently in this arc lol Jiren is also WAY WAY WAY stronger than Goku and he doesn't even have God ki nor ultra instinct. The show is about meeting powerful people and breaking your limits. Just because these other girls who happen to be in his race are better than him in having this power which is now explained more in depth by this interview, doesn't mean his training and journey mean nothing. Wash out that salt.
Zamasu is the best DB villain besides Freeza (and this is only the case because the current Super arc elevated Freeza to be that good).

I doubt they would waste a movie on that. That tidbit will get expanded on in an OVA or a one hour TV special at best.

Well, we don't have confirmation that it even is a movie. And it isn't a waste if it ties in to our cast somehow. Plus, doing a one-off movie like the original DBZ 13 movies is what would feel like a waste.

I bet Toei is disappointed at Toriyama for that decision, given the positive feedback the Avengers IW trailer got.

We got a Hulk reference in episode 100 after all....
Rather late reply, but I think making both him and Vikal fodder was a mistake. Those two had great designs.

That doesn't make them better characters or better written. Yeah whatever goes on screen is factual wheather we like it or not but that doesn't make it good.

That's just part of it. for me I don't like how strong they are, how they're written and how they're designed. Like the above, they are what they are wheather I like it or not and I don't.

You're probably going to say that they don't care about one or a handful of fans but based on what's come out of modern DB, they don't exactly care about the franchise's image either at this point so of course they're not going to care about what we think of it cause they themselves don't care about it. All that matters now are toy sales and it sells.

-Toriyama's new info about the Saiyans-

I wasn't expecting anything special from this, but I really like this S-Cells stuff. To be more precise, I like how Toriyama decided to approach this matter in a biological way and not with multipliers and more random numbers like the fanbase does all the time.

Looks like the "tingly feeling in the back" for U6 Saiyans is not only about martial arts, but about this too. Feels like a big thing for Toei to do without Toriyama's influence.
Case closed. Thank you, Toriyama!

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

I don't know why they reveal all this stuff in interviews but never put it in the actual series. Many people never read interviews or these behind the scenes type stuff, and since it's never put in the actual episodes a whole bunch of people never know this stuff and get misinformed, etc.

I have no idea why they keep doing stuff like this.

These magazines are really popular in Japan so chances are a good amount of fans read and talk about them.

You can also go on Youtube and see a bunch of hate comments for them characters as well.

And obviously r/dbz likes them, they've been going full defense mode on Super lately, downvoting anything talking bad about Super or the tingle sayain.
