Then why does no one ever try to combine ki attacks? Android's 17 and 18 would have been toast if that was possible.
And ki is metaphysical. Physics has no bearing on it.

Well A combining attacks to pinpoint accuracy is hard. B Toriyama probably never thought of it. C Vegeta was too proud to get some assistance. D almost any villain is too strong to just put 2 attacks together and call it good. Metaphysical or not, energy is stronger the more of it you have. It's not like one fragment of energy is stronger than the other.

1. Why is it hard? One of them could have said "Everybody! Shoot Nappa in the face!" And Nappa would probably have just stood there, laughed, and let them do it.
2. True, but this is an in-universe forum. I doubt Toryama has put nearly as much thought into his series as most of the fans here have.
3. Again true, but you still had Trunks, Piccolo, Gohan, and the Earthlings. They could probably have managed something if ki attacks worked like you believe, but they didn't even try.
4. But with Nappa it was 1 against 5. And the combined Battle Power of Piccolo, Gohan, and the Earthlings was much higher than Nappa's. Even if it was just Piccolo and Tien, it would have been higher.

And like I said earlier, Nappa survived a punch from Goku at 16,000. That's more than double that of all the Saibamen combined. So, even if they managed to seriously injure Nappa (which I highly doubt) he would still be alive, while they would all be dead.

I have no idea where to place Tarble. He's supposed to be super weak, but he's also a member of the Royal Family. A weak Royal could still be stronger than most Saiyans, which makes it hard to infer anything from that.
