[spoiler]That has to be one of the worst things to happen to anyone in the ToP. True he almost turned it around but being stuck right in the middle of a beam struggle must be painful to say the least.
I'm sorry but I was laughing hysterically at that point. Who in the right mind see's their teammate get enveloped by a ki beam and thinks "OH CRAP! BEAM WAR!!!". I was saying out loud say to the screen "PIRINA HOW IS THAT HELPING?!".[/spoiler]

Well, maybe it is. We have yet to find out, what they'll do about this.
I really hope Vegeta gets to eliminate Katopesla before the main action starts next episode. This character has already established his uselessness by having his attack mode tanked by a base Saiyan and if nothing else, this episode has highlighted that it would help to spend less time on useless characters to have more time for those that can actually provide an interesting fight.

Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

Can Dragon Ball Super get worse than this? I truly appreciate that it gave more screentime to Super Saiyan 2, but this is the very meaning of bullshit.
That was quite underwhelming. I expected the U6 namekians to be powerful on their own without the need of fusing, but I guess now that Saonel and Pilina would be nothing had they not. Way of hammering that namekians can't power up as much via training despite even meditation gave Piccolo some power boosts before.
I thought it was touching how many Namekians wanted to help saved U6, so they merged with two of their own (no it wasn't the entire race, just many).

The fusions hadn't worked fully yet so they will get more powerful and that stamina boost is a huge benefit.
If the two Nameks didn't fuse they'd probably had been as weak as those various fighter Nameks we saw Freeza kill back in the Namek arc, basically nothing.
So by Fusing it seems they gained considerable power. I'd put them both around SSJ2 level.
