Dyspo is all over the place man. Maji got dyspo off guard despite dyspo kicking him and blasting his ass plus him not fully healed yet
Dyspo still one of the heavy hitters in the tourney and will be shown why he's one of the big 3 of the pride troopers given they kept him in instead of hit tossing him out

The giant monster that Dyspo fought survived multiple hits from him, Toppo and Kahseral, it wasn't just a weak rando.

If the Saiyans along with a few others can recover their stamina by sitting off to the side then Dyspo should be back to 100% by now. He's had fifteen episodes to rest, not counting that brief altercation with Maji-Kayo. Concerning whom he will go to, I think Gohan might be a good candidate. In comparison to Vegeta, the young Saiyan comes across as being the bronze medal contestant of Universe 7. It would be his premiere fight of the tournament with the final result being the defeat of one of U11's strongest.
Now for the others, Toppo could go to Freeza or Vegeta and there would be sound reasoning for either/or. Since Freeza is a conniving schemer who seems to prefer operating in the shadows during this tournament, I expect Vegeta will be more likely to assume this fight. How Vegeta intends to win with Toppo not having yet demonstrated the full depth of his power is beyond me. We saw Toppo raring to go against SSJB Goku using Kaioken during the preliminary matches.
#17 can take either some of the robotic themed fighters of U3 or the cicadas from U4. No matter what he would receive a substantial amount of screentime with a pivotal role in the defeat of one of the surviving universes. As for #18, she needs to be eliminated already; she's had more ample screentime and developmental interaction than just about all three of the earthling characters combined.
Not sure where Piccolo will end up but I suspect he'll be going out in the not so distant future, unfortunately. I just hope he's given a proper one-on-one fight before that occurs (Rubalt doesn't count).

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
The relationship that Beerus has with the mortals in his universe is very different from all the other gods we have seen outside of Champa. Even U9, which was a dumpster fire, Ro had such a good relationship with the Trio De Danger that he knew how all their moves worked and could perfectly explained them. The people in U2 not only knew of their gods, but they were actively watching the tournament and knew what was going on. The gods seemed to even had an opened audition to be on the U2 team, showing that the people in U2 had a deep trust in their gods. U3 knew about their modified warriors and personally enhanced them to give them the best chance of survival and so on.
Compared that to U7 were most believed the God of Destruction is a myth and those who do know about him are terrified of Beerus and the only personal ties he seemed to have with the mortals before Goku was with Freeza and Cold. If Beerus never had that dreamed about a Super Saiyan God and sought to find one, he would have been screwed. Not just because the Z-Fighters would be very weak to what they are now, but because he would never build those personal ties that the other gods have with their mortals. Heck, he still doesn't know his group of mortals that well, the same with Champa to a lesser extent since he didn't even know Frost could transform.

Does anyone think we might not lose anyone in episode 119 as the title changed and the earlier one might be a mistake. If we do it will most likely be someone who is fighting the Bugs. Piccolo and Gohan have Shantsa and once they work out his illusions he should be defeated easily.
I would rather have them all survive until the Pride Troopers fight again so Jiren can just start knocking everyone out.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Or we might be losing two given that the Japanese language doesn't use the plural form? Both 18 and Piccolo might be going out at the same time, one facing Shantsa, the other the bugs. I'm really freaked out because the preview shows everyone BUT Piccolo in trouble, and the previews lie.namekiansaiyan wrote:Does anyone think we might not lose anyone in episode 119 as the title changed and the earlier one might be a mistake. I think Piccolo punching the vanishing illusions and the bit with the Botamo illusion at the end is Piccolo in trouble. The preview doesn't have Piccolo looking good either so it can't lie like you said.Michsi wrote:Or we might be losing two given that the Japanese language doesn't use the plural form? Goku is talking about the Bugs in the preview so I expect Shantsa is not the main threat and Piccolo and Gohan are fighting him. Even though we shouldn't judge by looks, Piccolo is not losing to that little Blue thing. Can you imagine the shit the fandom with come up with if he does lose to Shantsa.
I think 17 talking at the end is after 18 has been eliminated by the Bugs. He then probably beats them.

It's possible, and I'd like to think that's the case, but the episode seems to be split equally among the U7.namekiansaiyan wrote: I think Piccolo punching the vanishing illusions and the bit with Botamo illusion at the end is Piccolo in trouble. I know Shantsa doesn't seem like a serious threat, but illusion based powers are a really well liked and used in anime, so it might become a little more dangerous than what we were shown.
Also fan's raging is not an argument for something to happen/not happen. If it's in Toriyama's script for Piccolo to lose against Shantsa then that's that, and Toriyama is notorious for not caring about those type of reactions.

I still think Shatsa is what some people refer to as monster of the week. If they are just illusions shouldn't Gohan be in the same amount of trouble as Piccolo?Michsi wrote:It's possible, and I'd like to think that's the case, but the episode seems to be split equally among the U7.namekiansaiyan wrote: I think Piccolo punching the vanishing illusions and the bit with Botamo illusion at the end is Piccolo in trouble. Technically yes, but Gohan has 'plot armor' (I hate this word btw) whereas Piccolo seems to have gotten his moment in the spotlight for the arc. 118 kind of makes me think it really will be Goku and Gohan at the end.namekiansaiyan wrote: I still think Shatsa is what some people refer to as monster of the week. Speaking of spoilers, shouldn't we be getting some for the upcoming episodes this week? I'm going to read them for no other reason than to have time to make my peace with the outcome by the time they air. Piccolo being in the top 20 is already more than most expected.
I don't understand why this would bother you enough to feel the need to comment. I've skipped across several long-winded conversations about topics I didn't care for, even in this very thread, without giving it a second thought. I enjoy talking about topics/characters, specifically favorite characters, so I get a little enthusiastic with posting about it. Granted, this might not be the best place for it, but I think there's a general consensus now that this thread doubles as a general DBS conversation thread, but still...Also please for the love of Dende, don't have an another conversation with namekiansaiyan for a whole week again and you both going back and forth on whatever Piccolo will be eliminated or not just like you did last week.

Go read the manga before claiming such things. The Pride Troopers were unable to attack him without hurting the citizens. Even Jiren didn't kill the monster, because he didn't want to. In the anime, Dyspo was just unable to beat the monster.Boku no Hitto wrote:No different than how Toppo and Dyspo couldn't handle that monster in the manga.Whatever wrote:Just your average SSJG level monster of the week.ArchedThunder wrote:The giant monster that Dyspo fought survived multiple hits from him, Toppo and Kahseral, it wasn't just a weak rando.
