Vegeta hasn't done a single thing of value in the entire tournament any random Universe 7 guy couldn't have achieved with similar results but different approaches..

Vegeta has the most amount of wins and screentime after Goku. That's enough.

It's too bad Piccolo is going down without any real spotlight of his own. When this TOP arc started I never would have thought Piccolo would do as little as he did.

The fact that we're probably not getting any 17 and Piccolo team-up either is also a missed opportunity.

It matches the third batches of spoilers tbh, and 122 might be the last episode of 2017. We know that Takahashi and Toshio worked the last episode of 2017.

To compare two Super examples I'll compare Gohan jobbing to Freeza and Vegeta Jobbing to Hit. Gohan looks bad and doesn't even serve to elevate Freeza much as Freeza is so much more powerful, he makes a bad measuring stick for Goku and Vegeta.

But the thing is that Frieza kicking Gohan's ass isn't there to show the audience that he's powerful, it's there to show off Frieza being a psychopath and attempt to add a layer of desperation.

It's like when Yamcha gets his ass kicked by a villain, the intended reaction isn't "Oh no, they beat HIM!" it's "Wow, that evil bastard! I bet he kicks puppies too!"

I think it was to do both. They establish Gohan to be the strongest of the B-tiers, and then he gets destroyed by Freeza's base form. It shows that Freeza is way stronger than before considering his final form previously wouldn't have been able to do that.

It`s almost always both, especially when there`s a power level correlation being made.

How do you know this is real? This looks like someone imitating Herms. There will almost certaintly be a break 31st December.

If these are true then based on the preview I would say it is the Androids especailly as they seem to be fightimg the Universe 4 Bugs.

Piccolo has one of the largest targets on his back at the moment. Only #18 has better odds of being eliminated next episode over everyone's favourite Namekian. It would be a huge shame if he was eliminated because so little genuine choregraphical combat has been given to him. They can give the U6 Saiyan girls multiple episodes worth of screen time against several opponents from different universes, including Goku himself, but providing for some of the home cast isn't ostensibly doable. This grievance isn't limited to just Piccolo either. Several of U7's team seemed to have had lacklustre performances that leave a lot to be desired in retrospect. Frankly, I'm tired of seeing #18 and Goku. But what are you going to do? The anime developers must feel that the latter is a necessity to maintaining some level of quality for each episode.

It doesn't even do that because he's already that, so literally nothing but his has changed. He acts exactly as you'd expect. No more or less cruel. Not to mention it's desperation also fails because he beat Gohan...so what? Gohan sucks. It's not like he beat someone worth a damn at this point. That's why it barely does anything. It doesn't make Freeza look any better. It's at best a refresher course.

Vegeta has the longest screen time after Goku?

His last solid fight (a fight that got focus) was on EP 107, and so far he has had no '' big time ''. The fight against Toppo was not completed and no one forced him to use all his power yet.

There are other characters getting much more prominence than him.
But I agree in parts, I really wanted Piccolo to be more prominent. Against the U6 Nameks he was just gathering energy to use the Special Beam Cannon, but Gohan who was struggling with the two

Yes, we want but that isn't a guaranty for anything. People want Vegata to have UI, people want Gohan to win the tournament, doesn't mean they;ll be getting it.
I'm surprised when people say they expected Piccolo to do more even after 118, when previous arcs have treated him so badly and he's not been promoted as a key player of this arc.
