Not exactly sure why everyone is just “loling” that Vegeta is automatically going to be knocked out the ring when he fights Jiren. Hasn’t Jiren been notorious for not finishing off opponents..? Both Kale and Goku have had that happen to them.

Don’t give me that”it’s towards the end so he will knock him out for sure” kinda ordeal, because that doesn’t have to be the case. We were told that there was a cool Vegeta episode waiting for us, so I doubt things are just going to end up with Vegeta just getting one shotted or made to look like an idiot. Something interesting is obviously going to happen, despite what Vegeta haters want to say.

So Piccolo,

The smartest member of Universe 7 falls accidentally of the stage? Its a joke. Its a fucking joke.

Oh boy. I think I will stop watching this show. It hurts me more and more.

Honestly, the only lame thing in this spoiler is U4 going down in one episode. But I'm happy to see that U3 isn't complete fodder and will get two episodes. Always had a soft spot for anything mecha.

But I will saved my final judgement for the actual episode. Although the U6 Namekians were done dirty for the most part, I actually liked their role that they were given and even the reason why they were left out for so long.

Yeah, no matter how many great action episodes like the special we get, this arc will still have one the shittiest writing. Just watch Frieza gets reduced to the clown joke he was and gets trashed like nothing after all this build up.
Honestly as much as I've enjoyed the arc it really is the embodiment of wasted potential, beside U11 I don't think any of the other universe that got hyped up lived up to the hype.

I can't even imagine how does it feel to be a Namekuseijin/Piccolo fan these days. The man didn't accomplish anything remarkable, let alone did anything interesting by his own. Aside from his duo scenes with Gohan, what did Piccolo do so far?

We had a chance for him to shine a little bit in this saga but it seems Piccolo can't stand on his own/needs to be in Gohan's shadow (but unlike Goten and Trunks case, Gohan can't stand by his own too, he needs Piccolo all the time). Now Piccolo has rung out without doing much other than ringing out some random folks. Where are Dragon Ball Online's developers when we need them?

Damn. Just sucks. Knew it was coming anyway. I guess in their minds he had his moment when he helped eliminate the universe six Namekians.

The show will always revolve around Saiyans. I've already accepted Piccolo's fate long ago. Its disappointing, but predictable and expected. Really annoying that they can't give him more of a role instead of Gohan's fucking lapdog. Everything he did was aligned with Gohan. Barely could get a memorable scene with just Piccolo and no one else.

They couldn't give us Andriod 17's team up with Piccolo, that would have been interesting to see.

Flat out disappointed, but not surprised. Now we can see Piccolo's excellent commentary from the sidelines which will annoy me further.

I just want this arc to be over already

Jiren has a 50/50 record.

If he does goes against Jiren, the best to hope for is that he get the Hit treatment. Go out in respect, but still loses.

Actually, this goes for almost everything in the recruitment arc. Nothing that was hyped actually came to fruition. Krillin had entire episodes dedicated to him and he was the first to go.

Either A. Toriyama is doing what people don't expect him to do or B. Toei added things that were never going to happen. Take your pick.

Personally, I'm not surprised nor fooled, after what happened to Krillin, I kind of figured this arc would go in this direction. It will probably be fun though

It'll be funny if Vegeta gets knocked out 5 seconds into the start of episode 122, One Punch Man style, and then Goku fights Jiren.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

This is false. Back in the namek saga, it was piccolo's dumb ass idea to go to namek after being revived, risking death after they just brought him back.

When you write a long ass post like that and they say you want the arc to be over, you kinda do.

I mean if you didn't, you probably just stop watching,

Piccolo's selfish and stupid moments are not highlighted as much as other characters.

Same.

I tried to stay positive for so long, but screw it. They're really going the simple and boring route with Jiren as final boss, despite all these black horses we had (Shantsa, Bugs, Katopesla)

It's really disappointing. Give it a few months and they probably make Jiren job to a new threat too, rinse and repeat...

The best to hope for is that there’s some glimmer of hope that Vegeta will learn Ultra Instinct or at least some variation.

Most people wouldn’t like that, but being a Vegeta fan is like to see that gap between Goku and Vegeta get smaller.

I know people don’t agree but I’d like Vegeta to have the opposite situation as Goku. Strong attacks but not so quick with the dodging. They do the fusion dance and through fusion not only do they allow Gogeta to potentially master it, but they also get an understanding on the things they lack. Ultimately helping them complete it.

Not the ideal situation for most people, but Vegeta fans can hope. With all the focus on Saiyans this arc, it’s not far fetched.

I don't mind Vegeta getting UI, just not in this arc, and I don't think he will since only Goku was teased with a new form and Vegeta hasn't really gotten any hype. He is kind of in the same situation as the U6 Namekians (I don't mean scene time). Namely, he's underplayed enough to seemed like they're saving him, but it could just mean he goes out in a burst.

And UI doesn't work that way. Attacking is just harder since everyone thinks before attack. It isn't about being the opposite. UI also drains so much that Goku can only hold it for a few minutes, what makes you think Gogeta was last any longer?

You know what remarkable thing did Piccolo do after Namek? he fuses with kami, fights cell , lets him escape, fights 17 alerting cell to his position and actually made things worse and in Buu saga, he was a baby sitter.

I feel like a lot of people overestimate what a lot of characters did in Z. They had cool moments but it never truly mattered.

Its not even about the show revolving around Saiyans,18 got way more than him,18!
I was not expecting anything from him in this arc but i was at the least expecting him to last longer than 18,18 got her own episode with 17 as an assist but the opposite happened with Piccolo,Gohan and Goku got the most screentime while he got like 2-3 minutes in an episode that was clearly focusing on him character wise.

I never thought i still would be surprised at this point, the Buu saga was truly a red herring for him.

I don't know why this surprises you,it was made clear that Shatsa and Katopesla are fodder but hey at the least the bugs are gonna eliminate someone from U7.

Piccolo was handled well and was intelligent in the Buu arc. In Super he is fodder.
