So you think he could take a duo? I have little doubt about him taking a trio if one of the trio was Guldo
It would depend on how smart they are. If they were to utilize Guldo's abilities efficiently, they could do it pretty easily. And I think that Recoom's enough of a tank to outlast Nail, while Burta could blitz him with his speed while he's distracted. Jeice would probably be the weak link here, and I can see Nail taking him without too much trouble.
Burter alone would beat Nail. Any combination of Ginyu Force members stomps Nail. He could probably take Jeice though.

I always saw him as the balanced one of the group. Which admittedly makes him kind of bland. The accent in the English dub helps make him stand out though, otherwise he'd be totally forgetable.

I guess. Everyone else is bald and Recoome has a mohawk if you consider that better(then he becomes mostly bald so I guess so)

Ginyu can also change bodies. He cheated by getting two gimmicks.
Anyway, I think it goes like this: Burter specializes in speed, Recoome in physical attacks, Guldo in psychic powers, and Jeice in energy blasts. I mean Goku actually felt the need to dodge his Crusher Ball despite Goku being twice as strong as Jeice, so maybe it has power amplification on par with the Kamehameha? Also, I'm pretty sure he's second in command.

The Ginyu force is all about style. Look who Jeice had to compete with Reccome has a mohawk, Burter is a snake guy, and Guldo is Guldo.
On energy I can't exactly say as couldn't anyone do that.

It also gives him patience until he perfects the Daddy's little Princess dance. The Dance of cheering you up is what helps him cope with no polishing.
