You are talking like Piccolo was holding Gohan back or something,we already saw what Gohan is capable of alone, you should remember it after all its the same episode your favourite Frost got erased in that one.Piccolo being out means Gohan lost his shield,so thats to be expected.
Gohan's real shield is that he is a Saiyan.

He doesn't need to

Piccolo could have gotten more, I'm sure no one is going to argued that. But the reaction on this forum....yikes.
Yes, he could have gotten more. So could Roshi. Everyone could have gotten more. It's not about what they get, it's what they get. For me, the character doesn't need to be powerful, doesn't need a bad ass exit, they just need good character moments.

Also, directed to n general people: A fight not lasting more than one episode doesn't make the characters ' involved fodder

What did Piccolo get that was so good?

What character moments did he get? The Kami and Nail bit? That scene means that Gohan does not need him anymore to protect him and so Piccolo's role will be even less in the future.

This is a fighting shonen series so the most important thing is fighting and looking good and this is true whether you like it or not.

In my case, I wanted Piccolo to have at least one solo battle. Him being tied to Gohan the entire time was lame and kinda took away from 118 a little. I mean, he could of had one of the fodder Vegeta picked off.

I mean, last week Piccolo was going to sacrifice himself to Gohan, again, and the opposite happened.

True, but I mean like a full blown heavy battle with a worthy foe. The U10 guy went down to one Hellzone Grenade. I mean, something like Gohan's fight with the other U10 guy. Or Roshi vs. Genos.

I need to come up with a list of "things people were afraid of happening based on vague spoilers, that turned out to be completely unfounded." It's been happening an awful lot lately. Things like 18 losing to Ribrianne, Piccolo sacrificing himself for Gohan against the Namekians or Kefla becoming stronger than Ultra Instinct Goku. Hell, I could fill a whole page with Caulifla and Kale alone.

The point is, maybe wait until you see the episode before passing judgement. Personally, I reckon Piccolo's elimination will be either from Shantsa's illusion/necromancy/whatever that was, or from a sneak attack by the bugs. Both of those would be fine, they need the win more than he does.

I hope I'm wrong, I hope this is one of those previews that's wrongly put together and Piccolo actually goes out in a good way.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

If Piccolo takes out no one and gets taken out just because someone has to just because we need to be shown how dangerous Universe 4 are then yes they will be right.

If the opposite happened then Gohan would have been killed. For it to be the opposite of what happened with Nappa as everyone said, Gohan needed to die.

A character from the main cast needs it more than some other random Universe.

Since Jiren decided to meditate, 4 universes were eliminated without anyone from U11 lifting a finger

Now all they have to do to win the tournament is beat U7 :D

Yeah, that's really ass and why I don't like them. They do nothing and get rewarded.

Zero eliminations from Dyspo and Toppo too.

Dyspo and Toppo were wasted and Toppo has not even had a proper fight in the tournament. They will both lose their next fights.

It's smart. Let the other universes keep attacking U7 and if U7 wins, more universes go and U7 wear themselves out making them easy pickings. If they lose, they don't have to deal with UI Goku and the other god-tier characters and they other universes will be worn out fighting U7. It's a win, win.

Not pleased at the news of Vegeta getting UI/fighting Jiren.

That means we will, yet again, be treated to Vegeta being used to show how powerful the oponent REALLY is. :x

The main cast has had plenty. Universe 7 has taken out more than half of the total number of fighters in the tournament. I want these remaining Universe 4 guys (one of the last remaining built-up threats that haven't been wasted, mind you) to actually accomplish something before they go out. And at this point, the most logical choice would be Piccolo or the Androids. They've all had recent spotlight moments, but at the same time nobody should be expecting them to make it to the finals. All they'd be is fodder for Jiren anyway (god, I'm so sick of that word).

Yes, I'd like it if there were a more equal spread of eliminations too. Imagine how different things would be if Goku and Vegeta hadn't gotten that massive sweep of Universe 9 in the second episode. But that extends to other universes as well, and if we want this tournament to be anything other than an elaborate panto to set up Goku vs Jiren, then we need other fighters from other Universes to be a threat.

Since Piccolo was the only character left I cared about apart from Toppo I want Goku vs Jiren to hurry up now.

Universr 4 taking out Piccolo won't do anything to change the dominance of Universe 7 since they will be getting another 3 eliminations in this episode so they might as well diversify rhe eliminations in Universe 7.

Don't worry Goku will finish Universe 4 and then Universe 3. You will be having these same conversations again when 17 does nothing and Vegeta loses to Jiren without taking either Dyspo or Toppo out.

If you're reading anything that says Vegeta gets UI in 122 then you're reading fake shit.
