I quite enjoyed his suave personality and the fact that he had a little bit of Vegeta and Freeza smarminess to him. I had fun whenever he was on screen, something I can't say for Jiren.

And even then, Omega Shenron and Super 17 AT LEAST had the benefit of having cool designs and attacks. Jiren not only lacks personality, but he also lacks a design. He's just a generic alien in a red jumpsuit. There's quite literally NOTHING to latch onto with his character.

It's just strange that after coming off of some of the BEST villains this franchise has ever seen in Black and Zamasu, we immediately pivot the other direction with this joke of a "character".
Cell was a cool idea, but a boring villain. Only his voice actors in both the sub and dub made him remotely interesting. I remember a lot of people who read the manga were surprised by how dry Cell was without a vocal performance.

Super 17's design was horrible. Like, ew. Omega Shenron, his design was okay, but other Shadow Dragons looked better than him.

Jiren is interesting to me since I want to know what he's about and he seems to be hiding something. And Jiren isn't a 'villain' or even the 'main antagonist'. He's more or less the dragon like Hit was in the Champa Saga.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

Noticed something in the spoilers no one in here seems to talk about

18 is only getting good treatment because of 17, after this arc, back to housewife role.

Roshi got good treatment because Toriyama somehow likes him, and thats the issue, if it was another Mangaka then this ToP Arc couldve been beyond Prime OP level.

17 going out vs U3 will make him the biggest bust of U7, considering the hype he got.
Toriyama also likes Piccolo, Tien, Mr. Satan, and Jaco, calling them his favorite characters at one point or another. So, what is your point?

Hey, remember when Krillin was so startled by Goku suddenly appearing in front of him that he fell out of the arena in the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai? Remember what actually happened there?

And I see dozens upon dozens of posts from people passionately responding to the potential prospect of Piccolo "accidentally" falling of the arena and being eliminated. I, for one, am far more intrigued about what Universe 3 are going to get up to. Regardless, episode preview summaries have been full of shit in the past, so I'm not going to put much investment into this "spoilers". I'll wait and watch episodes and judge them for their content then.
I just wonder why summaries had been so misleading lately.I'm also interested on U3,still shocked they went this far,not bad for a universe that had 0 advertisement.

Dec 24, Episode 121- Episode focuses on fighting the merged robot, Android 18 is taken out and U3 is deleted, 7 minutes remain
BREAK
Jan 7, Episode 122- Start of U7 vs U11 showdown, 5 minutes remain
Your Prediction was correct.

Thats a big question mark, I find it hard to believe Toriyama would approve Toei making a big mockery out of Tien.

That isn't what actually happened. To the normal eye it looks like Goku scared Krillin off the stage. But what really happened was that Goku punched Krillin several times and kicked him off the stage so quickly that no one but Tien saw it.

Because despite popular belief, Toriyama rarely gives in to favoritism. He's actually quite detached from his characters. He called Goku one of his favorite, yet had no problem killing him off in the Cell Games and trying to replaced him with Gohan, only to bring Goku back since it didn't work out.

Piccolo is connected to Gohan who is above 17 so what you are saying makes no sense. The Andorids are almost certaintly going in episode 121. Toriyama is useless with his characters and will always be true and I don't know how people disagree with this.

Next arc

18 will go back to being a housewife and forget about fighting.

17 will go back to his island and will be forgotten.

Roshi back to his island

Frieza back in hell or erased for good.

Gohan back to his usual nerdy life and forget about fighting.

Tien will go back to his dojo and the series will forget he exists.

Krillin will go back to work and forget about fighting
Buu will fall asleep again.

Yamcha will continue to be a joke.

Goten and Trunks will continue to be kids who won't do anything.

Piccolo will be included and will get screen time stolen and messed around again.

Vegeta will look good before his usual beatdown.

Goku will permanently look good and steal all the screen time and glory.

Yes, that was exactly what happened. It's also almost exactly what's going to happen to Piccolo. No banana peel involved.

I hope not.
Most none Vegeta fans feel that way.

If you’re a fan like I am, you hope it happens. Or at least them hinting that he will get it down eventually.
It's more that I don't want that UI get's achieved too easily. I don't want Goku to master it either.
I would dig it though if Freeza would get UI.

Why Piccolo? Why not 17 or 18 or Gohan? Why does the fighter with the least amount of fighting time get kicked off first.

But all jokes aside its kinda sad that overall Piccolo had less screen time than the Saiyan Girls, for some old school fans thats a big kick to the nuts.

Because 17 and 18 have a story to be told with the Robot universe and Gohan's going to win the whole tournament, according to the extended intro's lyrics.

Universe 3 surviving as long as they have is nothing short of a fucking miracle. And I'm so happy about that. Ever since Nigrisshi got embarrassingly eliminated by Cabba, nobody thought Universe 3 would have a chance in hell of lasting even the halfway stage of the tournament. But here they are, with the most competitors left, in the final stages of tournament, challenging the remaining heavy hitters and their holding their own. They have been the dark horse of this tournament. And I love this.

Time-wise, Piccolo actually got more than the androids.

17 and 18 disappeared from Episodes 103-115. They only had a small cameo in 109-110 and didn't fight. Piccolo, however, had a role in 103, 106, and then fought the U6 Namekians from 111-118 with a small break taken in 115.
