Because I can't understand what's going on with some of the things on the cards.
You have a Dragon Ball Heroes arcade machine. With that machine is not a joystick or buttons like on a normal fighting game machine, but a Flight Panel Reader and a Card Reader and Lighter. This is used to scan the cards. Your player data is saved on the IC Card, the Hero License (the Capsule Corp card).

So you place your cards on the Flight Panel, and from that point think of it as an RPG game and that you're positioning to cards to perform actions. From there on, you create a team of 5 Fighters and throw down.

Regarding the battle itself, you have the Planning Phase, the Charging Pact, and the Battle Phase.

Regarding the cards, you have:

1. The character's/cards name on the side;

2. The character's HP in the HP box;

3. The character's Power in the Power (red) box;

4. The character's Defense in the Defense (yellow) box;

5. The character's Battle Type Icon on the bottom left corner (Hero, Elite, or Berserker);

6. Under the Defense box, there's the Desperation Move, the character's special attack, and the number of required Hero Energy required to pull off that Desperation Move;

7. The character's Ultimate Unit under the name - the Ultimate Unit is a special squad formed when certain Fighters are positioned in a certain way on the Flight Panel; a team-up move;

8. And finally, under the Desperation Move is the character's Ability.

Just personally, but Beet sounds like Bett to me.
I already covered this on the last page, didn't I? His name is Beet or Beat, he's either named after the vegetable, beet, or after a musical beat.
Seems to me he is named after the musical beat, since the Saiyan Girl is named Note.

Hello TheDevilsCorpse! Are you sure that the name you provided aren't the ones a random player chose for his avatars. I've made a few research on the web, and those names aren't reported on any reliable Japanese website.

Yes, I'm sure. I do my homework. All the names can be found somewhere on the official Heroes website.

Tsumuri: http://www.carddas.com/dbh/game/heroesl ... tboss.html
Froze: http://www.carddas.com/dbh/game/heroesload_frz2.html
Cabra: http://www.carddas.com/dbh/game/mission_heroesload.html
Note: http://www.carddas.com/dbh/news/37_2.html
Beet/Beat: http://www.carddas.com/dbh/play/flow.html

Heroes Road videos on Youtube were used for confirmation of the names that only appear on the menu screens in those links, and they match up.

Ok! Have you seen here: http://www.carddas.com/dbh/game/mission_heroesload.html (pic where he is shown to be at level 70) that the Saiyan Berserker is also called "Beet/Beat" (ビート)

And the name "Note" (ノート) is also used for Akina Minami http://www.carddas.com/dbh/news/37_2.html while this character was called "Akina" (アッキーナ) when promoted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu1f6cpOOD8

Yes, but that should just be ignored really. That image doesn't show the battle mode, its the player's setting/options/whatever. When playing as the avatars, they are all are accessed from the same save and can be swapped at will before the match, retaining the same name. I gave you the website links as an easy way to show you they have offcial roots, 'cause I sure as heck wasn't going to scour a 100 Youtube videos and have you doubt if those were named by the player or the developer. Regardless of what is shown on the site, when the Elites and Berserkers are actually battled in game, they simply appear with the name "Rival" (ライバル), and only the Heroes have names.

This is apparent in the link I gave you for the female Saiyan. They are demonstrating how to switch between the female Saiyan "Note" and Akina, who is most definitely named "Akina" on multiple other pages, commercials, missions and other crap. Yet in that link, Akina is still named "Note" after the swap...but that doesn't mean that IS her name. Akina is still very much Akina: http://www.carddas.com/dbh/game/mission_jbg.html Though when played with by the player, she'll be named whatever the name of the save is...

Here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu1f6cpOOD8 at 0:11, the Hero is called Hyi (ヒィ) and here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMS0MTjFyxo at 00:58, he is called Hitosoratsu (ヒトソラツ)

Here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWAk1KhJ ... re=related (YouTuber cyanpumu), the Saiyan Heroine is called Satoru (サトル)

This points that the avatar's name is in fact chosen by the player. They had to name their avatars for the pics on the Dragon Ball Heroes website, but those are not fixed names. When starting the game, the avatar has no names and the player has to name it.

You do realize those videos aren't of the Hero Road mode that I'm talking about, right? :roll: Those are regular missions where the player named their avatar. In Heroes Road you fight against a CPU team which contains one of the Hero avatars and some teammates. They always have the same name (which are the same as the names they picked for the avatar images on the website) and the same teammates. cyanpumu was one of the users who had videos of Heroes Road that I used for confirming the names. Here's the Majin Cabra. Which proves my point. :wink:

You can't just use any old video as evidence, you have to know what you're looking for. :lol:

You like Zelda, right? Now imagine I rename my character "Cunt", would that mean that Link is no longer Link because I've got a choice?

OK, that's all I wanted! Official source + proof that the names are not only used on the save of the Dragon Ball Heroes' website staff.

I already posted the card here after I found it, and most people have been "WTF"ing for the past few pages.

But no, there is no animation for him yet. The commercial is Goku, Beet and Trunks versus Llod, and they defeat him while Super Saiyan. It's a pretty self contained story that seems to get wrapped up, so I doubt the commercial will be shown to have new footage of him after he's officially revealed in a few days.

I never thought to see GT Trunks go SSj3 seeing that I always view him weaker then he was in the Buu saga. I guess we are likely to see SSj3 Goten, SSj Pan and maybe SSj4 Gohan next?

I'm not sure if they'll add another SS4 into the mix (not ruling it out though), so I'd replace Gohan with SS3 GT Vegeta...which is practically guaranteed since we have confirmation of GT Vegeta being in game and his SS3 Z counterpart is already in, it'll just "roll over" into this era as well, I assume. Goten is likely IMO, as long as he actually gets added into the game. lol

I would hate them if they put GT SSJ3 Vegeta and don't include SSJ4 Gohan or Vegetto. Future Trunks & GT Trunks are different characters (short of), but not Z Vegeta & GT Vegeta. They won't look different at all, except for the clothes. I'm in for including him, but don't waste a hidden character slot for an alternative costume, please!
