Re: J-Stars Victory Vs. (JUMP crossover game) for PS3/Vita
Definitely a possibility, but I think the previous option would be more fun. It'd allow more creativity with the cards he could use:
Kuribo + Multiply for his guard
Buster Blader for close range combat
Dark Magician for medium range combat
Summoned Skull for long range combat
Curse of Dragon for ariel combat
Swords of Revealing Light for special #1
Mirror Force for special #2
Dark Paladin for his ultimate
Slifer as his "tranformation"
...maybe some sort of Exodia mechanic where it rewards him the longer he stays in a match, allowing him to gather the Exodia parts and instakill an opponent after he does? I dunno.

I recommend reading it since the animation can be shitty at times lol. Manga is much more uncensored as wellDBZGTKOSDH wrote:What I want most is Norimaki Arale-chan from Dr. Slump right now, but I also want at least Gohan & Gotenks from DBZ, Sakura & Kakashi from Naruto, and Zoro & Sanji from One Piece. I'm also planning to start watching Toriko these days (and then read the manga), so I would like to see a few more characters from there too, but I don't know who because I don't know anyone other than Toriko himself.
Tim Duncan is dope and forever.

Maybe so, but at least Kuru still did some manga work for Shueisha when he did Ring ni Kakero 2 for them from 2000-2009, so maybe?B wrote:I'm not holding my breath for Fist of the North Star or Saint Seiya. They basically belong to different publishers now.
In terms of series, there's not much else I'm itching for. It'd been cool to see Bo^7, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Death Note, Dr. Slump, D.Gray-man... But I'll live. It'd be nice to have one more playable BLEACH character... It'd probably have been Uryu.
Hell, what about Ring ni Kakero? It was Jump's first really big hit (to the point it was the first manga to end with a full color final chapter, which only Dragon Ball and Slam Dunk did afterwards I believe), and it is Masami Kurumada's 40th anniversary as a mangaka. Plus, it would give them a property from the 70s to use, yet with a modern sequel some can still be familiar with in the younger crowd.
Plus, it's never bad to go with boxing:

I know the manga is much better (from what I've heard from everyone), which is exactly why I'm gonna start with the anime. If I were to start with the manga, then the anime wouldn't be that good in my eyes. But if I were to start with the anime, and then jump into the even better manga, then neither of them would be boring for me.Mewzard wrote:Seconded. Cha-La-Head-Cha-La is one of the songs of the Anison Sound Edition:
http://www.bandaigames.channel.or.jp/li ... /spec.html
Well, this is not a surprise, really.
EDIT: I can read some of the titles. Hohoemi no Bakudan (Yu Yu Hakusho) is one of the songs. Hunter X Hunter uses the opening of the new anime, and Jojo uses the opening of Phantom Blood. Sobakasu (Rurouni Kenshin) is also there. Too bad. I always liked Kimi ni Fureru Dake de better.
EDIT 2: Ok, this is what I could get:
One Piece: We Are! (1st opening)
Naruto: Go!!! (4th opening)
Dragon Ball Z: Cha-La-Head-Cha-La (1st opening)
Yu Yu Hakusho: Hohoemi no Bakudan (1st opening. The only opening, actually.)
Toriko: Guts Guts!! (1st opening)
Bleach: *~Asterisk~ (1st opening)
Hunter X Hunter: Departure! (1st opening of the new anime)
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Jojo ~Sono Chi no Sadame~ (1st opening of the last anime. The one that covered Phantom Blood.)
Rurouni Kenshin: Sobakasu (1st opening)
Beelzebub: Dadada (1st opening)
Gintama: Pray (1st opening)
Medaka Box: Happy Crazy Box (1st opening)
Kochikame: Katsushika Rhapsody (3rd opening)
Jigoku Sensei Nube: Bari Bari Saikyou No. 1 (1st opening. The only opening.)
Katekyo Hitman Reborn!: Listen to the Stereo!! (8th opening. The last one.)
There's still a few missing, like Sket Dance and Nisekoi.
And here's a better look of the cover of the book included in the pre-order edition: http://www.bandaigames.channel.or.jp/li ... bonus.html

Seems like we have the final roster here, except if the game has secret characters and/or DLC.

Re: J-Stars Victory Vs. (JUMP crossover game) for PS3/Vita
J-Stars Victory VS won’t have any paid character downloadable content post-release, Namco Bandai said during a presentation at its Japan headquarters today. It appears that all planned characters will be in the game from the start.
New characters are still to be announced, though. It’s possible we’ll hear about more additions come this weekend’s Jump Festa.
The Jump 45th anniversary commemoration game, coming to PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in Japan on March 19, will arrive in standard and “Ansion Sound” editions. The Anison Sound Edition will cost 10,980 yen on PlayStation 3 and 9,980 yen on PS Vita, and includes 21 tracks from the anime each character appears in.
Pre-order bonuses for J-Stars Victory VS include a J-Stars Victory Book. And tomorrow, a demo version of augmented reality app J-Stars Victory VS AR, will be made available in Japan. An AR marker for Goku from Dragon Ball Z will be included in the December 21 issue of V-Jump.

New Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN82w2UQ9VI
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... room-neuroThe narrator intones, "Hero vs. Hero. This has been the subject of fantasies and idle chatter among boys. These were once unrealized dreams … Dream battles that span generations, cross over titles, and exceed our imaginations."
The video then features some of those dream battles: Spirit Bomb vs. Tailed Beast Ball, Soul Slayer Sword vs. Reverse-Blade Sword, Gourmet Hunter vs. Hunter, pirate vs. Kabuki actor, teacher vs. student, alien vs. working stiff, child vs. child, Sasuke vs. Yūsuke, heroine vs. the Queen of Kabuki-chō, Sket vs. Basket, and bloodline vs. sweet tooth.
Finally, the video reveals that Koro-sensei from Assassination Classroom and Neuro (as a support character) from Neuro - Supernatural Detective (Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro) are joining the roster.
The character roster in this Shonen Jump 45th anniversary game includes Toriko (Toriko), Luffy and Boa Hancock (One Piece), Goku (Dragon Ball Z), Naruto's title character, Rurouni Kenshin's Kenshin Himura, Gintama's Gintoki Sakata (with Kagura and Sadaharu), Ichigo (with Rukia) from Bleach, Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo's Kankichi Ryotsu, Hunter x Hunter's Gon Freecss, Yū Yū Hakusho's Yūsuke Urameshi, Tsunayoshi Sawada (with Reborn!) from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, and Tatsumi Oga (with Beelzebub) from Beelzebub, Taro Yamada from Chinyūki -Tarō to Yukaina Nakama-tachi-, Medaka Kurokami (with Misogi Kumagawa) from Medaka Box, Chitoge Kirisaki from Nisekoi, LaLa from To Love-Ru, Tetsuya Kuroko from Kuroko's Basketball, Jonathan Joestar and Joseph Joestar from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Meisuke "Nuubee" Nueno from Jigoku Sensei Nube, and Himeko, Bossun, and Switch from Sket Dance. Hironobu Kageyama, Akira Kushida, and Hiroshi Kitadani are singing the game's theme song "Fighting Stars." A free augmented-reality (AR) app lets you see the Jump heroes in your surroundings on the PS Vita.
The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita game will be released on March 19. A regular copy of the PS3 version will cost 7,980 yen (about US$80), while a limited edition will cost 10,980 yen (about US$110). The normal edition of the PS Vita version will cost 6,980 yen, while a limited edition copy will retail for 9,980 yen (about US$100).
People who pre-order the game will receive the J-Stars Victory Book, a volume bound like a Jump Comics book and filled with information and visuals of Jump heroes over the years. For a limited time, a "Ani-Son Sound Edition" of the game will let players listen to 21 television anime theme songs in the game.

More than 21 series? I'm glad I was wrong.
But I wonder why isn't Koro-sensei on the cover, since he's more popular than almost anybody else. Maybe he'll the boss.
EDIT:Well, it looks like pre-orders for the PS3 version of the Anison Edition are over. Damn.

One more thing I was thinking: the only series that got songs revealed are the series that have playable characters.
So maybe this means that there'll 21 series with playable characters.
Chinyuki didn't get a song, though, so I may be wrong again.

I'm guessing there'll be a total of 45 characters, because, you know, 45th anniversary.
Probably not because I think we're still far from that number...
