Transformations feel different. Maybe powering up and amplifying ki feels different too.

Hmm, how do transformations feel different? Do you mean because the person's ki can change (i.e. "that's the ki of a Super Saiyan")? I suppose techniques could have their own feel, but I just can't think of an example that hints at it. It's always just, "This is X's ki, and it's getting enormous!!"

Yes. A Super Saiyan has a specific feel to it.

Oh and regarding the Goku told Buu someone stronger would fight him I find it more likely now that he did tell Buu off screen. Goku and Gohan do the same thing when talking about the Zeta Sword. Goku says yea man this really is heavy meanwhile Gohan never said anything about it.

So it appears there is some off screen talk going on in the Buu Saga.
