He'll be taking care of a threat, but that doesn't imply a leadership role. It'll be ironic if it's Vegeta and Goku that need his help, since they were the first ones to break formation and undermine his position as leader. And lets be fair, the covering has been more than reciprocal.Kagari wrote:
Based on the summaries he'll now be saving his team rather than just cover for Piccolo like he's been doing the last few months.

Both Goku and Vegeta will have to listen to Gohan if they are still struggling vs the U3 Megazord.Michsi wrote:
How is that making his leader role useful? Goku and Vegeta would actually have to listen to him in order for that to be true.
I'm glad we are going to see Gohan getting more development, and prove why Goku made him U7 Captain.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
At least Gohan is getting more of a major role as this tournament reaches it's climax. He really was mostly in the background for most of it thus far, not really treated much differently than the Androids or Piccolo.
I would probably have a heart attack if Gohan goes out looking like a chump without a big accomplishment, this is the first Super arc handling him right and trying to give him a return to glory moment.

Before this Arc, Gohan had a far worse treatment than Piccolo.
See pic related

Its a miracle how much Gohan improved since then, and has a fair shot in making it to the Final 5.

If that's what's going on there then good. However, that looks more like a "leave this to me" kind of moment.
Gohan was the one that ordered everyone to split up, it seems his role as captain dissolved the moment he did that. It'll be interesting if they make a reference to the role his been given. Goku flying off without so much as a backwards glance the moment the tournament started was a little lousy and it's a little late to play leader now that almost half the team is out.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
To be fair, its hard to be a leader when half of your team are people who wouldn't listen to anyone . Heck, Vegeta and Goku ignore Beerus.Michsi wrote:perucho1990 wrote:Both Goku and Vegeta will have to listen to Gohan if they are still struggling vs the U3 Megazord.Michsi wrote:

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Wonder if people will call the bug duo the worst characters in Super for knocking out Piccolo. Granted I doubt they'll get as much hate as Ribrianne or the saiyan girls but it'll be interesting to see. Maximum salt would be if Piccolo doesn't take out a single U4 fighter, not gonna lie I'm more excited for the fanbase reaction than the episode itself. Also still surprised 18 doesn't get taken out next episode, maybe ends up taking out one of the bugs?

If piccolo takes out at keast Shantsa and if the bugs take him out things will be fineCriticalThinker wrote:Wonder if people will call the bug duo the worst characters in Super for knocking out Piccolo. U3 has to take out someone, or they will be even a bigger joke than Universe 4.
U10 is the only Universe with 0 eliminations, Gowasu deserved better.

The bugs may not even have any real character. Well, he should've known better than trust in weaklings. I wish he brought Goku Black to this tournamentperucho1990 wrote:U10 is the only Universe with 0 eliminations, Gowasu deserved better.

That's what I've been saying. I have no doubt that Gohan will get a great moment, it's the leadership bit I'm skeptical about. Piccolo, Krillin, Tenshinhan, Roshi were the ones that were willing to listen to Gohan, it'll be kind of shitty if the rest suddenly discovered their team spirit now after those characters are gone.kinisking wrote:To be fair, its hard to be a leader when half of your team are people who wouldn't listen to anyone . Why did Goku even bother giving his son that role? I know the joke was so that no one would expect him to take that position, but it'd be neat if they addressed this issue.

For Piccolo fans I surely hope that's the case, but I wouldn't be surprised if Gohan takes him out.pacz360 wrote:If piccolo takes out at keast Shantsa and if the bugs take him out things will be fineCriticalThinker wrote:Wonder if people will call the bug duo the worst characters in Super for knocking out Piccolo. Maybe she'll get her arm damaged, limb out of harms way and return later to toss out one of the robots.CriticalThinker wrote:Also still surprised 18 doesn't get taken out next episode, maybe ends up taking out one of the bugs?

Who knows but if she does indeed take a bug by herself than man she's getting that royal treatment. Most likely scenario is that she and 17 with Goku take out the bug duo.darzap wrote:Maybe she'll get her arm damaged, limb out of harms way and return later to toss out one of the robots.CriticalThinker wrote:Also still surprised 18 doesn't get taken out next episode, maybe ends up taking out one of the bugs?

Krillin, Tien and Roshi all got to take a character out before they dropped out, I don't think Piccolo will go out without taking someone with him.

He is taking out Shantsa imo, then probably lose to the Bugs(Goku and 17 will take care of them).precita wrote:Krillin, Tien and Roshi all got to take a character out before they dropped out, I don't think Piccolo will go out without taking someone with him.

I think Piccolo will take out Shantsa and possibly Damon, while Gamisaras will probaby get taken out by either 17, 18 or maybe Gohan? Idk, it's hard to tell, every character aside from Freeza will get some focus in the next episode.
I really hope Freeza won't just stand there and watch the fights in the next 3 episodes.

Imo it would make more sense if Freeza ends U4 , after all it was Quitela the mastermind who planned to get rid of Freeza in the recruitment arc.
