Do you think we will see info for a sequel soon? I think BOZ is our last DBZ game on this generation and we will likely see a next gen DBZ game on the PS4 and Xbox One soon in 2016 at the earliest.

It's possible. If the next game is released later in the year like they usually do, it could be a BOZ sequel or something completely different. But they may end up putting out Tenkaichi HD for 2015 since that's the 10 year anniversary.Hellspawn28 wrote:Do you think we will see info for a sequel soon? I think the HD Tenkachi collection will be our last DBZ game on this generation. I don't like calling PS4 and Xbox One as current gen systems since they just came out. People didn't call PS3 and 360 as current gen systems until 2009. For a BOZ sequel, I would like to see a better written story mode if they keep on doing the AU idea. Maybe give each character their own story mode. Be creative and do something fun with it even if it makes no sense.

I'm surprised that people are still hoping that Namco Bandai releases an HD Tenkaichi Collection of all other better Dragon Ball games to consider. NB doesn't seem like they'll release another DBZ game this year and it's a good thing.Hellspawn28 wrote:I think the HD Tenkachi collection will be our last DBZ game on this generation.
Please no Tenkaichi/RB nor Battle of Z again, Namco Bandai.

They can release Tenkaichi HD and still focus on a new game. The two year development time didn't help that much anyway.dbboxkaifan wrote:I'm surprised that people are still hoping that Namco Bandai releases an HD Tenkaichi Collection of all other better Dragon Ball games to consider. I can see them just putting BT3 and Tag Team into one since the first BT game was bad and BT2 feels useless with BT3 in the collection. I notice the price for BOZ at the Gamestop in the Columbia Mall in Maryland drop down to $40. Not sure if it went back up, but $40 new may be good for anyone has not pick up yet.

You couldn't pay me enough to play BT3 over BT2.Hellspawn28 wrote:BT2 feels useless with BT3 in the collection.
If they do release one and it has no BT2 I wouldn't get it.

Define what's "great" in your opinion.xmysticgohanx wrote:Those games are great
Tenkaichi 3
Gameplay: Works smoothly and is fast paced.
Music: It's horrible except for 3-4 BGMs and the Opening by Yamamoto.
Controls: They're some of the most simplistic controls you could ask for. Just bash the buttons and you can win.
Graphics: Look fine.
Score - 2.5/5
Raging Blast 2
Gameplay: Clunky when finishing a Special/Ultimate Attack as the character stands there for a few secs, otherwise it's OK.
Music: Highly enjoyable, whether you pick it up with the original soundtrack by Yamamoto or Tenkaichi 2.
Controls: Same as Tenkaichi 3.
Graphics: Very plasticky but it's kinda nice.
Score - 2.3/5

Mario and Sonic are platform games and we're talking about fighting games which is a completely different genre. So, you can't compare Marionic games to Tenkaichi.TheGmGoken wrote:Mario and Sonic games are very simple yet they're still the best ever. What's your favorite Db game. I'd bet that a lot of people can't finish "World Crown: Champion's Road" on Super Mario 3D World because it's about timing, precision and not over-thinking it.
Sonic Lost World also has its complexities which are learning how to wallrun because it's not an easy task to do and the game neither helps explaining it either. Although for the majority of the game it's not necessary to wallrun but it makes it better as that's one of the things the game's gotta going for it.

That's not quite true.
They punish you for using Supers out in the open.
They want you to use them off cancels. Cancel into a Super and you go right back into your normal pose.
Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
Tenkaichi controls are very far from simple. It's true that when you finally know how to play, all characters play more or less the same and it's easy to master, but for starters it has a very complex controls if you compare to games like Tekken, Soul Calibur or any other. That's one of the problems of the Tenkaichi series. Try to explain to some casual player the controls and they won't even get half of them. Try to explain Soul Calibur to someone (X to guard, circle is kick, triangle vertical attacks, square horizontal attacks, if you combine the buttons you do other moves), they'll get it really quick, but they will take a long time to master a character.
Raginb blast is a worse game in my opinion. It has great additions here and there, but the game doesn't feel as consistent and refined as Tenkaichi 3 was.
About the music, which is something I see a lot lately, personally they have both bad music unless you get the japanese releases. I own Sparking Meteor and the music is great, as for Raging Blast 2, I mute all music and put kikuchi's score on my ps3 instead.
If they do an HD version of Tenkaichi, I hope they include both the online mode and the disc fusion modes (without the disc fusion itself of course).

Good luck with the "simple controls" against a pro that knows his way around doing all the combos that the game was made for. Same goes for Tekken but Batman Arkham games? Yeah, there's really nothing complex about it.
Street Fighter IV on Easy Difficulty on the Arcade Mode didn't make the opponent that much easier to fight since I'd still lose so ultimately I just learnt them.

Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
You're horribly confusing "simple controls" with "a deep fighting system". The two aren't mutually exclusive, and thankfully Street Fighter has them both.
There are limited buttons which do the same thing for each character in the game (jump, block, walk, punch, kick, etc.). The complexity comes in with the combination of those movements, but that doesn't undermine the simplicity which is the underlying basis for everything else.
It's precisely why so many of us love Super Dragon Ball Z: it gave us a simple control scheme with a deep, complex, intuitive fighting system with a breadth of characters that all felt differently in spite of those simple, balanced, similar controls.
The Sparking! games feature a common button layout for each character, but simply using the moves at your immediate disposal adds numerous layers of complexity. You're playing Twister with your fingers to do things beyond MELEE MELEE MELEE MELEE. The complexity of Sparking! isn't built upon the simplicity, but is another layer on top of it.
I think you play lots of games and read a lot about games, but from everything you write you seem to have a very fundamental misunderstanding of how they work.

I'm not going to disagree with you VegettoEX but gamers have their own mind and even if they have the wrong idea, it's what they believe that's correct.
Mike the Motherfucker on one of the "James & Mike Mondays" (NES Remix - Wii U) said that the next Nintendo console should be called... Nintendo. This is absolutely confusing and horrible if Nintendo were to take this suggestion as it's so vague there'd be no way to tell apart from the other Nintendo consoles.
