If the anime followed the manga's pacing they'd have everything up to Freeza done in 2 episodes and still cover the important details.HeroR wrote:Gohan's entire character is that he doesn't train seriously unless something bad is happening. Him training again was more about Gohan getting back in shape than him getting stronger. Also, most of Gohan's growth came from him getting over his mental block.TheUltimateNinja wrote: Rather than having him train on and off they should have just had him be serious, it'd make more sense than him reaching Blue level in a few hours. And Kuririn definitely didn't need that many episodes dedicated to him, and most of that character development was pointless since the humans barely even accomplished anything.
He only had one episode dedicated to him for this arc. The other two were before this saga even started. Krillin also have several knockouts and saved 18 who nearly got rung out, so saying the humans barely even accomplished anything isn't true.

After getting a look at Paparoni, I'm willing to bet he's the one who becomes Aniraza.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I swear Paparoni looks like Bloodhound up close...

That is assumption since the manga is still going through the recruitments. Like the manga hasn't even touched the other universes outside U11.TheUltimateNinja wrote: If the anime followed the manga's pacing they'd have everything up to Freeza done in 2 episodes and still cover the important details.

Conserving your stamina is completely irrelevant in this tournament if you're from U7. Even if you run out of stamina, all of it will be miraculously recovered in the span of a minute, or you'll have "just enough" stamina left to defeat the enemy. Just look at when Roshi could use the Mafuba twice only a minute after he nearly died from exhaustion, when Goku could use SSB against Kefla, and when Goku could use SSB against U2 despite the fact that he had trouble standing less than a minute ago.Lord Frieza wrote:He's around and unlike Goku he's actually conserving his energy for when its needed.omaro34 wrote:Is Freeza taking a long bathroom break or something? I'm only counting the U7 screentime, besides U6 the other universes barely got any screentime. My point is that the U7 plotlines could have been finished in like 3 episodes, 4 at most, then they'd have plenty of time to spare for other universes so we actually get to know them.HeroR wrote:That is assumption since the manga is still going through the recruitments. Today's episode was ok. A lot better than last week but nothing amazing imo.

Yes but Frieza is a plot wise villain, he knows that since he's a bad guy and plot connivance rarely smiles him. So he has to think about what he's doing.Hakaishin Liquir wrote:Conserving your stamina is completely irrelevant in this tournament if you're from U7. How are we supposed to care about the threat these fighters supposedly are if they can't keep powerlevels consistent enough for us to have a good way to measure how strong they really are?
These fighters were taken out by base Caulifla a few episodes ago.

And this based off a manga that hasn't even finished recruitment stuff. Like Gohan hasn't even begun training yet.TheUltimateNinja wrote:I'm only counting the U7 screentime, besides U6 the other universes barely got any screentime. Fused fighters tend to be stronger than their sum of their counterparts.Doctor. wrote:How are we supposed to care about the threat these fighters supposedly are if they can't keep powerlevels consistent enough for us to have a good way to measure how strong they really are?

They're weak individually, but when merged, it's a drastically different story.Doctor. wrote:How are we supposed to care about the threat these fighters supposedly are if they can't keep powerlevels consistent enough for us to have a good way to measure how strong they really are?

More like were interrupted by Caulifia who managed to knock them away. Though of course didn't do any damage at all to them. Our Dai San Uchuu are pretty tanky (After Nigirishi at least lol). Don't forget earlier on Borareta made Gohan run away too.Doctor. wrote:How are we supposed to care about the threat these fighters supposedly are if they can't keep powerlevels consistent enough for us to have a good way to measure how strong they really are?

I felt bad for Biarra, but I have hope Aniraza will do some damage to them at least!

They were giving ultimate Gohan trouble individually.Freeza9000 wrote:They're weak individually, but when merged, it's a drastically different story.Doctor. wrote:How are we supposed to care about the threat these fighters supposedly are if they can't keep powerlevels consistent enough for us to have a good way to measure how strong they really are?

They were caught by surprise, even Piccolo on Namek managed to do the same to Freeza.Doctor. wrote:How are we supposed to care about the threat these fighters supposedly are if they can't keep powerlevels consistent enough for us to have a good way to measure how strong they really are?

The manga has also shown shots of other GoDs and spent a few pages on U11. There's also Mr. Satan filler. The plot-crucial U7 story is no more than 40 pages, something that can easily be done in less than 2 episodes, and 1-2 more episodes to cover the remaining stuff. Training is pointless since there's only a few hours unless they enter the RoSAT.HeroR wrote:And this based off a manga that hasn't even finished recruitment stuff.
