Just to be clear though, they're edited from what we know the original Z footage was like. The US release of Kai is 'uncut' in the sense that it's the uncut version of Kai...which...no matter how you slice it is a cut version of DBZ, regardless of if it's...censored or not...

Damn, I can barely keep up with this thread once it gets going. Just wanted to say that I love the song choice they're going with. Now if only we can get some unrestrained violence to go with it and I might start to see this film in a more positive light.

I wonder if Beerus and Whis will aid the Z warriors in battling Frieza or just simple stand on the sidelines watching the fight, though i'd hate to see them get dominated by Frieza in battle, i rather have the former than the latter.

Personally, Whis needs to stay inactive in this movie excluding possible training. I'm completely okay with Freeza getting to Goku and maybe even Beerus' level. However, him reaching Whis.

this is some of the reason why I'm not that excited for this movie.
I wouldn't like Beerus (I don't think Freeza will get at Whis level) to be outclassed by Freeza and then Goku and/or Vegeta beat him at last.
I would like Beerus and Whis to not interfere with Freeza as its not their problem (for what we know) even if that means they would have less screentime.

I also don't think they'll be involved. Whis will abstain and Beerus I think may just sleep through most of the movie. OR they'll be the C plot and it'll cut-a-way to Whis and Beerus watching the goings on via Whis' magic staff and commentating on what they see.

I would see Beerus to get involved only if Freeza will offend him with something personal(Something like he was uncapable as a God of Destruction that he left Earth intact last time in BOG). Or else, I would see him to comment on the fight between Goku and Vegeta vs. Freeza.

Hate is a strong word. He just wanted him gone.
This isn't his fight, so I don't see him getting involved until it's over,
assuming he's even on the battlefield to begin with.

He just said that he was also a bad guy and that he will destroy him if he sees him again. Nothing about hate

I will not be surprised if Whis and Bills are the one's responsible for training Freeza.

No, he doesn't hate him, Freeza just irritates him. And he being arrogant too, don't like other dogs to bark.

This will really make me a happy fan, but we can just dream about it... or maybe not? I didn't expect Beerus to win against Goku in BoG so maybe Toriyama can surprise us with something like this? (I hope so )

The next two weeks are definitely going to be interesting. Weekly and VJump come out within two days of each other. 19th and 21st. Depending on, leaks may appear as early as mid next week. And if they don't, the VJump site either way will definitely update its preview page next week.

I don't know how everyone feels about the Maximum the Hormone song but I really don't like it. I'm having trouble imagining it in a scene so I really hope it's not and it's just in the credits or something. That wouldn't be bad. It's not a good song, regardless of it being the inspiration for the film or not.

I loved the use of Hero by Flow in Battle of Gods. Something like that again would have been great.
