I grabbed DBZ Kai Season 3 on Blu-ray for about $23 on Amazon for Cyber Monday. Before that, I got Seaons 1 & 2 for about $25 - $30 a piece right after Kai Boo Arc was confirmed. Also, I randomly grab volumes of DBZ on the iOS VIZ Manga app.

I have a special attachment to that particular volume since it's the very first Dragon Ball manga I ever bought. Hell, it's the very first manga volume I ever bought period, come to think of it. Poor thing isn't in the best condition anymore though, after way too many reads.

Could be another reason I'm attached to that final fight, actually...

I especially like this volume as well. In the anime as well.
I wonder how many other people on the forum have the misprinted spine. I like to think of it as volume 16 1/2 even though internally its the same(I think).

I've got a misprinted spine copy of volume 16. :3
I was hardcore enough back then where I even sent away for the "free replacement" Viz offered (while being able to keep my misprint) and received that along with a free DB/Z bookmark. XD

What's really interesting about the back cover though of that volume is the text in Piccolo's speech bubble is simplified compared to the more higher-vocab dialogue he speaks on the actual page in the book.
On hiatus.

There's a misprint copy? How do you tell if yours is one or not?

Got the Budokai HD Collection. Payed more for it than I did for my japanese Budokai 1 and Platinum Budokai 3... Oh, well.

I haven't been on in a while so I haven't been able to post these yet...but they are my most recent Dragon Ball purchases.

Then there's this keychain I picked up. It has Piccolo, Vegeta, and Battle Damaged Super Saiyan Goku.

I believe it's the spine image. If I'm not mistaken, that particular image is from the subsequent volume.

So, I've kind of been on a Dragon Ball buying spree lately. It might have something to do with an event that's about a month away.

In the last few weeks, I've picked up:
  • One Piece Film Z / Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods "Super Collaboration Ticket"
  • Theatrical programs for Z films 3, 4, and 11 (Hire Dragon, Hire Dragon II, and Broli-Shaped Sludge-Monster)
  • Anime illustration collection The Golden Warrior (I forgot to pick it up when it came out, and it went out of print, so I had to get it used)
  • Daizenshuu 4 (which still goes for close to ¥1000 at Book Off for a copy in good shape)
I'm kind of concentrating on movie programs at the moment, in recognition of the upcoming film. (I also have the one from Dragon Ball: Evolution when it came out a few years ago.) Peking Duck said he had a few spare ones he could give me, but overall, some of the older ones are difficult to come by. Dragon Ball didn't get top billing in the Toei Manga Matsuri / Anime Fair slate until at least the first Z film (it may actually have started at The World's Strongest, but I'm not yet sure which, since I've never seen an image for the first Z movie), so for the early ones, you have to pay attention to the date on the cover rather than the series that's on it.

I don't suppose anyone's got a few they'd be willing to let go of? :)

It's funny, this is also my first manga volume that I got for christmas years ago from my GF, so I have sentimental value for it.
Then I got next 4 (in descending order) and after that I bought the whole series in JP tankobons.

I have bought the spanish Dr. Slump kanzenbans volumes 1-7
I know that is not DB related it all, but, since DB and Dr Slump share the same world I think it's appropiate to post this.

I got my Dragon Ball Kai Seasons 1 and 2 DVDs in the mail yesterday. I'm greatly enjoying watching the uncut dub with Kikuchi's score.

I also just now ordered Season 3, and Parts 7 and 8, completing the Cell-arc, for a total of $49. The Parts 7 and 8 were 14 apiece, meaning they were the same price that Season 4 would be without a Cyber Monday sale when it's released, so I basically got them sooner than I would have if there wasn't a sale, and for the same price.

I've spent less than $100 on all of Kai that exists currently. That's a good deal methinks, because I remember spending $30 for just Kai Part 1 when it was released.

Was gonna throw this in an order with the 4th Viz Big for Dragon Ball. Shipping ended up being $68, while in total it would've set me back $131. So Dragon Box 5 will be arriving at my house alone...after Christmas as well. Should conveniently arrive around the time of my birthday though, so I guess everything worked out fine.

That's actually really interesting--The Pokemon stuff too... wouldn't that be the only airing that doesn't have the screen darkened whenever there's a bright light? :o
