"Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
No episode review thread? The staff must be celebrating Christmas early this year.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I didn't care too much for the episode to be honest. I'd say it was probably the worst one since the first episode where they had the Kamikaze Fireballs for the first time.
The fight itself wasn't very good. Aniraza was really lame, he was better when he was the separate robots. Didn't like the Moscow reveal, he had one of the better character designs and now they randomly had his real appearance and he's just generic looking. Also the Ultra Instinct theme should really be saved for the truly epic moments like with Jiren and Kefla, don't waste it on something like this.
Frieza was again the best part of the episode.
The next one looks very good though.

Here’s an intreast in way to look at this. All of the arcs of Z United in this episodes!
Goku (DB), Vegeta (Saiyan arc), Frieza (Frieza arc), #17 (Android arc) and Gohan (Buu arc).
And they teamed up to bet an amalgam of movie and game villains from the Z era too. That’s pretty awesome that is.

I didn't think of that, I wonder if this was intentional. Guess there's no way of knowing unless the staff reveal something on twitter.Lord Frieza wrote:Here’s an intreast in way to look at this. All of the arcs of Z United in this episodes!

18's sacrifice to 17 was also one of the best parts of the episode. "it's a very human thing to do."

This episode was a dragon ball z movie, so if you don't like most of those, you won't like this.Bullza wrote:I didn't care too much for the episode to be honest. I'd say it was probably the worst one since the first episode where they had the Kamikaze Fireballs for the first time.

Jiren is a God-tier shit stirrer and trash talker.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I thought the episode was great, but I'll save my comments till the episode review thread is up.
Every character was handled really well, from Freeza, to 17, to 18, and Goku. Vegeta/Gohan didn't do as much but it was nice to see them all work together

That’s an epic level put down if I ever saw one. So proud of my boy Jiren.Lord Beerus wrote:

I have to agree with Bullza. Episodes revolving around the dull oafish giant monster bearing down on a nigh hapless collection of dolls is not my preferred arrangement -- and yet somehow I still found myself rooting for the characterless brute over the Universe 7 team. For some time now I've been finding myself doing that. Maybe it has to do with the pretentiousness that exudes from the oversaturation of their ranks and the "too good to fail" attitude of some of its members. I'll likely find myself hoping for some more eliminations on their end courtesy of U11 in the near future.

Please, this episode was better than the last week and not worse than #100 that we had stupid LSSJ Kale doing Broly homages and the one when U4 got erased.

Yeah, like how beerus didnt look happy when he got punched by raging vegeta. Clearly they are going to do the same thing here. Is going to be ragegeta vs beerus 2.0TheOne wrote:Yeah, but he didn’t look too happy staring at that final flash head on. What I'm trying to get at here (if you read my previous posts) is that it's retarded to go ahead judging the NEP prematurely because of Vegeta's well performance against Jiren when SSJB Goku and Hit beforehand put up that same level of performance against him.
Plus that initial kick after the confrontation was different than that random punch he made in the gut where he just stood there.
Also, I think Vegeta will survive that episode. They showed him getting blasted away in a manner that resembled him potentially flying out the ring.
I also think vegeta will survive, to battle toppo

It was typical giant monster battle that served its purpose of uniting all of U7, giving the heroes one final "boss" before the final climax of the tournament, and we got great character moments out of 18, 17, and Freeza.Lionel wrote:I have to agree with Bullza. Gotta say I really enjoyed 121 and can't wait to see what 122 has in store for us. Also guess I was wrong about the one sided beat down for Dyspo and Vegeta they seem to be doing better than I thought. But just because they are doesn't mean they'll beat their respective opponents. I can already see that this will be a long couple of weeks until the episode airs.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Yeah. And it just so happens Vegeta performed better against Beerus than SSJ3 Goku did. From strictly looking at the previews, it looks like he’s doing a better job than SSBKK and UI against Jiren. At the same time, Goku is smiling/playful looking while fighting Jiren.Kenneth La Torre wrote:Yeah, like how beerus didnt look happy when he got punched by raging vegeta. Like last time, let’s just wait and see what happens.
How i predict the tournament will end:

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I'm sure it was to a good number. I just don't have the same attachment to those characters like some do. It's strange to admit this but Vegeta electing to working with Goku and the others after expressing so much adamancy about wishing to fight on his own felt just a little strange to me. Truthfully, this is motivated in part by my previous wish to see him get eliminated early on. The likelihood was low but my expectations for some unpredictable elimination order, barring the obvious elephant in the room who finally left this episode, existed. Plus, the next episode preview depicting him in a manner that suggests he might be appropriating a trademark attribute of another character yet again has soured what opinion I had of him.precita wrote:It was typical giant monster battle that served its purpose of uniting all of U7, giving the heroes one final "boss" before the final climax of the tournament, and we got great character moments out of 18, 17, and Freeza.Lionel wrote:I have to agree with Bullza. So he's god tier trash talker for reciting one of the most bland and generic villain like threat lines ever....just like the realm of the gods itself, god tier shit talking has become a joke.Lord Beerus wrote:
