It's the mistranslation of the Freeza race from the anime dub. It's noted more recently in videos when talking about Xenoverse (by fans) and referring to Freeza's race as Arcosians because they had no official race name. It's just personal preference that I refer to them by this name, despite it being a translation error because it was the closest we got to an actual name for them.

That interview got me pretty excited! I'm very interested in seeing what characters are left. Though I am a little saddened there isn't more content from the original DB.

Though technically you can make them. All their outfits will be available in Xenoverse, though maybe not King Piccolo's insignia. Maybe. Not sure. Nothing they showed so far was thus detailed.

I feel sad as well, as yet again DB is treated as nothing more than a prequel story inbetween Planet Vegeta's Destruction and Raditz.
This was supposed to be a time travel game, next game I hope they include the Adolescence saga next time.

So what if they could not fly, they could have at least included DB...
But I'm still buying the game though Looks too exciting not to buy.

I decide to pre-order the game for the PS3. For once, I can't wait to get this game and I never thought to say that after Ultimate Tenkachi made me want to quit DBZ games for good. I never bother with Battle of Z and DBZFK when I always played the major DBZ games since 2002. The PS4 and Xbox One version are the same game made by the same developers but with better graphics. I doubt the last gen versions will be water down versions of the next gen versions.

Yeah, that's a pitty because those first videos from gameplay where the Goku was doing the sommersaults and with all that choreography and speed, it reminded me heavily of fist to fist Dragon Ball fights.

Xenoverse Interview

Notes to take from the interview:
- The name of the composer can’t be said at this time, but Bandai Namco has requested music for all three regions be the same.
- The in-game destruction will be temporary
- The game was developed for consoles first.
- Players can change some elements like clothes and attacks, but once a players start the story, they can’t change the gender/race of their character. They will have to re-start the story in order to change gender/race.
- CAC can only transform into Super Saiyan 1 and 2. There will be no Super Saiyan 3 or Super Saiyan 4 transformations.
- There will more GT characters, but it can be said yet.
- When asked if a player’s custom character stats affect the stats of existing characters, Bandai Namco stated they will have to go back and check on this.
- Capsules can't be equipped in the main mode
- Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta and Jaco the Patrolman cannot be unlocked by playing the game and there is currently not scheduled to be released any other way. It hasn’t been decided how Jaco will be made available, just that it will be somehow through DLC.
- There will no characters or stages from the original Dragon Ball series
- Players won’t be able to create a move from scratch, they will select from a pre-defined list.
- The dub voices in game are Japanese and English
- Saiyans have a physical transformation into Super Saiyan where their hair changes to yellow. For races such as Freeza's and Majin there will be an aura change, but physically there is not much that changes.
- There are no beam struggles as beams just cancel each other out. The reason is because in instances such as 3-vs-3 fights, the execution would be a challenge.
- There are no mini-games or mini-modes. There is a part in the story mode where players have to gather the Dragon Balls, but its not something that would be considered a mini-game, it’s more like free-roam.
- When the created character is at a high level, players will be able to change some advanced options and aura color may be a part of it.
- Only two players can play at a time locally or offline.
- There will be no team attacks or team supers
- There will be other cities to explore and stages to explore, but not like Toki Toki City. Toki Toki City is a hub where players will always return to buy clothes, meet friends, get missions, etc.
- There will be no what if characters, like Super Saiyan 4 Broly. As the game itself if one big What-If.

*In game destruction has never been a huge concern for me. Yes I understand its a major element of the show's battles what with craters being made and mountains blowing up but..I'm not gonna be staring at some hole I made. My attention is gonna be focused on my opponent.

*I figured being locked into your race/gender for story mode was gonna be a given. I'm just curious if we can change our hairstyle at some point in case we unlock more as we progress.

*Pretty sure SSJ3 was mentioned to be in development and would be added later (likely due to time constraints). I wouldent be surprised if we got SSJ4 along with a GT story depending on when it comes out.

*I could see online play (or at least ranked matches) removing stat changes that clothing and items bring on, which would be nice kinda like Soul Caliber 4. But I do hope my stats from story mode translates to online play. Would suck having a story level and a online level.

*I could cheat with DB stages if we include the Mount Paozu stage we saw SSJ4 Goku and Super 17 square off in. At least I consider that a area more associated with DB than DBZ.

While it's true that they are more or less the same game, the decision for me to go PS4 lies primarily in the fact that the PS3 is being (slowly, but surely) phased out, and I feel like if this game is going to have any kind of longevity to it (and I really feel like it has that potential, especially if they release DLC), the current generation consoles are the way to go. I remember seeing a poll for what console you're going to get the game on, and the overwhelming majority said PS4, with PC a distant second.

The characters will be based on my family's(There are friends but I consider them by brothers) roleplay that we did on BYOND's Heroes United 2 and Dragon Universe. It later turnt into a fanfiction on Youtube using multiple DB games. However it wasn't made by us so it's not 100% accurate. Only about 55% accurate(We've sent her actually dialog so when she remade the first arc it was 97% accurate and future arcs will be accurate). I'll list each character I'll try to make. I'm not sure how many we get. Is it just one? Or 3? I'm planning to chose my roleplays characters so only using one or two isn't an issue. But on my ps3 I'm planning to use two other characters. Here's who I got to chose from. I'll give a short 2-3 sentence bio of MY characters. If you want to here more. You may request to do so here or via PM. It'll be more detailed and you'll see just like Xenoverse. Our roleplay was based on DBO with some changes(Time period, characters, and lifestyle)

Son Goken(1/4th Saiyan in RP but there's no option for half saiyan ). He's Son Goten and Palace's daughter. Very overprotective of his family(Similar to Chi Chi funny enough.). A counter to Monkai.
Son Goten Jr(1/8th Saiyan). He's Son Goken's and *Insert Asian Name here* son. He's childish. He loves fighting but hates to be left out or talked down too. He hates not being praised.
Kyram Ganlo(100% Saiayn).
Monkai Seele(1/8 saiyan at birth but becomes 100% Saiyan).

It's too bad that there is no what if fusion and transformations. With you able to change the timeline, it feels like a good idea to do something like "Have Goku fuse with Gohan" against Buu or have King Cold (If he was in the game) transform against you, Goku and Future Trunks.

Maybe it's because the enemies in DB are a joke. Now DON'T get me wrong though, I thought that they could've at least started the story either with King Piccolo or the 23rd WT saga, but hey, the original DB isn't that popular like Z and GT(to a degree).

Preeetty good chance those are just going to be for the avatar characters, the same way half the costumes won't be used by their original characters (like DB Gyumao).

I do wish that you can have your character be good or evil. If you pick evil then you have your character join Mirai on having the villains win. I would still be nice to have pre-DBZ characters. Seeing possessed Tao, Piccolo Daimo and 23rd Tenkachi Piccolo would have been cool.

Yeah, he costumes are one thing, but I doubt it's the same for the moves, since most of them belonged to the originals.
