Nope of course not XD. Because they did get new forms...just shitty ones XD. Besides they're too hung up on OMG SSJ2 so cool, rather than taking a step back and looking at everything that led up to it. What a mess that was.Doctor. wrote:So they get how Trunks and Vegeta fans felt during the Cell arc?dbzfan7 wrote:

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Yea I'm certain at this point that the 126 title is referring to Toppo when it says "Surpass even a God", so Freeza and 17 are likely exiting the tournament once Toppo gets his GoD level power-up in 125 and then Vegeta will be the one to take on Toppo in 126 and eliminate him.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I'm with those who are not jumping to conclusions regarding Gohan. Could he be eliminated? Yes. Most fans are holding on to the expectation that almost everyone sans Goku will be gone come the end of the tournament. The question lies in who gets eliminated in what order and what they're able to accomplish before going down. Has Gohan done enough to warrant his being retired? Debatable. Individually he partook in a few skirmishes here and there with his best moments coming in the form of two b-listed fights. DBZfan7 explained it best about how and why such expectations were made for him. His involvement in the showdown with the preestablished titans of Universe 11 should mean something. Dyspo could accommodate for Gohan's duel spectacle though when look back on Dyspo's performance in this tournament -- the fact that he was already on the verge of being eliminated after Hit overwhelmed him -- he comes across as a shopsoiled holdover used to check off Gohan on the list of U7 members that received their glory moment.
Ideally, Toppo sounds like a more preferable opponent for someone with the kind of credentials and buildup that Gohan has. He's the leader of his universe's team with an undefeated track record so far. Freeza could play to his clandestine schemer role by eliminating Dyspo then observe the Jiren fight as it unfolds. In a more realistic scenario, I assume he may get thrusted into the combat role again with Toppo or perhaps Jiren himself somehow. Who can say for certain? We'll have to see how things pan out.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Not happening. Toppo isn't going down without eliminating at least one U7 fighter (I'm of the opinion that he'll eliminate two), so at the very least either Freeza or 17 are gone and my bet is on 17. Of course I believe he'll eliminate both Freeza and 17, which will then leave Vegeta to take him down, which is where the episode 126 title comes into play.OLKv3 wrote:Now Vegeta needs to go so 17 makes it to the final three.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I doubt that Vegeta will fight against Toppo.
Spoilers have made it very clear that Frieza and #17 are the ones to struggle against Toppo.
And one episode after Vegeta comes in? According to the spoilers, they've been doing pretty well against him (he was cornered) so I doubt it.
Jiren is on the run and he is far bigger monster than Toppo.
I think Frieza with help of #17 will take him down.

We'll see. The title of 126 is "Surpass even a God! Vegeta's life-risking move!" Jiren isn't a God. He's just a mortal who is as strong as one. Toppo on the other hand looks like he'll be becoming just that in episode 125, so Vegeta taking on Toppo makes sense with the title of 126 in mind.Mercenary wrote:I doubt that Vegeta will fight against Toppo.

Freeza and 17 shouldn't have any chance against a GoD level Toppo.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I would consider that highly unlikely. If Vegeta goes down, while taking out Toppo, what would #17 do? Gang up on Dyspo with True Golden Freeza and Ultimate Gohan? I can't see that. If Vegeta goes down without taking out Toppo, his new power-up + his life-risking blow would be completely in vain, so I can't see that happen either, besides who is supposed to defeat Toppo after a character, that went one tier beyond SSB, failed? I just can't see any role for #17 for a scenario that has Vegeta eliminated next. Something, that would seem more sensible, would be: Freeza + Gohan take out Dyspo, Toppo takes out #17 with his power-up to establish the new threat.OLKv3 wrote:Now Vegeta needs to go so 17 makes it to the final three.
I really like #17 and this assessment is not meant to disrespect him, the problem is just that there are 4 other really big characters left in the U7 team, just 3 opponents left and I don't expect much more from Dyspo after the next episode, and #17 had a very climactic victory over Anilaza very recently, we are already counting down to the end of the arc, I just don't think there is enough room left in the plot right now to give to #17.

That title is totally unfortunate. Surpassing a GOD can at the same time mean surpassing Beerus/god's power in general etc.

It could, but then it should be something akin to "Surpass even the Gods", not "Surpass even a God"Mercenary wrote:Birusu16 wrote:We'll see. The title of 126 is "Surpass even a God! It also doesn't make sense in the context of the title. Like I said though, we'll see.

You shouldn't take the grammar from a direct translation from Japanese too literal.
Vegeta could very well be taking on Toppo, but this translated title should not be your reasoning for believing that. Especially considering the word "god" has been thrown around from every direction since BoG debuted.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
It has and it ALWAYS refers to a deity whether that's a Kai, a GoD, etc. Nobody in the ToP right now is a deity. Who is the closest though? That would be Toppo as he's a GoD candidate. It just makes perfect sense in my opinion.Wilderness wrote:Birusu16 wrote:It could, but then it should be something akin to "Surpass even the Gods", not "Surpass even a God"

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I'm saying that the use of god is seemingly being used as a generalization here, not directly relating to Toppo. That's my opinion. I'm not arguing that he won't fight Toppo, I'm just telling you not to take literal sense from the grammar of the sentence.Birusu16 wrote:It has and it ALWAYS refers to a deity whether that's a Kai, a GoD, etc. Nobody in the ToP right now is a deity. I disagree with that. Like I said, I think that would be more likely if it was Gods, not God as in one.Wilderness wrote:I'm saying that the use of god is seemingly being used as a generalization here, not directly relating to Toppo. Again, you're taking your evidence from grammar from a translation from Japanese. I think you need to discard that as a method of reasoning. If you can't, then good luck to you.Birusu16 wrote:I disagree with that. Like I said, I think that would be more likely if it was Gods, not God as in one.

No. It makes sense to me, so I'm going to stand by it until I'm proven wrong. You're free to believe what you wish, but I'm not just going to discard something that makes perfect sense to me.Wilderness wrote:Again, you're taking your evidence from grammar from a translation from Japanese. Oh my god... seriously give it a damn rest. No it does NOT make sense. From a language point of view, if the title was given PRIMARILY in English, then yes it would make sense. Because it had to be translated first, it leaves PLENTY of room for error. I can see clearly you know nothing about the Japanese language, but a quick Google search will tell you this:Birusu16 wrote:No. It makes sense to me, so I'm going to stand by it until I'm proven wrong. "The Japanese language lacks plurals in the normal English sense. Plural words are usually either preceded with a number and a counter, or simply made understood through context"
So this tells you that there MAY NOT be a difference between the wording of god and gods. I am telling you why it does NOT make sense, from a language point of view.

I really don't care. Stop telling me what I can and can't believe. You're in no position to do so. You don't like my opinion? Too damn bad. I didn't say it was a fact. I didn't say it was 100% correct. I said it was my opinion. Get over yourself.Wilderness wrote:Oh my god... seriously give it a damn rest. No it does NOT make sense. I've said Toppo and Vegeta may fight, but your reasoning is wrong. Plain, simple, and factual.
I'm done.
